Quinta do Fojo, located on the picturesque left bank of the Pinhão Valley, is the birthplace of the exceptional Quinta do Fojo Red 2016. This wine is produced exclusively from the property's vineyards, which extend over 4 hectares planted in 1986, with a mix of grape varieties where Tinta Roriz predominates.

Tricot is a four-handed wine that faithfully portrays the beauty and tranquility of the Alentejo. It is born of the care and dedication of two winemakers who have combined their visions and experience of many harvests to produce unique wines, which are the purest expression of each region. Manual harvest in 15 kg boxes with the strict selection at the entrance of the cellar. Vinification in stainless steel vats with maceration after fermentation. Stage for 18 months in French oak barrels, 30% new and 70% used. Ruby red color. The character of the vineyards of the Serra de São Mamede is very present in this wine, bringing freshness and minimality. This wine that comes from the south of the Douro border, granite soils, mixes several white and red varieties. Hand-picked grapes for small boxes, perfectly matured. The bunches were placed whole in a stainless steel tank. The fermentation began within the grapes, and only then the masses were pressed and the fermentation finished. Most of the wine staged in the stainless steel tank, only 20% was staged for 10 months in used barrels. The grapes are chilled and then pressed in a pneumatic press. Grapes harvested by hand and transported to the cellar in 20kg boxes, then stepped on foot in granite presses, without destemming and without adding yeast. It has an aroma with very ripe strawberries and cherries, fresh leaves, aromatic herbs and spices.
