The '93 years of History' is a limited and numbered edition created to commemorate the 93 years of Caves São João. A collectible wine, of "port, substance and vigour". Elaborated with a modern profile, with perfectly integrated oak, it is a long aging wine. The beautiful label is a tribute to the 1950s. Traditional fermentation, spent 12 months in French oak barrels.

Caves São João 94 Anos de História
Integrated in the celebrations project of the 1st centenary of Caves de São João, which will take place in 2020, the company just launched another product, now with the label 94 years of history. The bottles, in a limited edition, with the brand 94 Years of History, present a label allusive to the decade of 60-70, the so-called "Rebel Years" that remind us of the fifth decade of the existence of Caves de São João. that the Caves of São João begins to distil brandy. Caves São João 95 anos de História White
This wine, made in an ancestral way, without addition of oenological products, except for sulfur dioxide, was created from the best grapes of the Arinto grape variety from our Quinta do Poço do Lobo, which were manually harvested on September 23, 2014, de-stemmed and crushed, then macerated for 48 houre. After pressind the wine masses, the wort was clarified and fermented in French oak narrles. After the alcoholic fermentation, battonage was carried out for 4 months. The stage on lees, in barrel, lasted for 8 months. It was bottled directly from the barrels in July 2015, without any clarification, as was once the custom. Contains Sulfites.
Caves São João 98 Years of Story White
This wine was created with minimal intervention, in order to respect the qualitative potential of the exceptional grapes that originated it, as well as respecting the classicism of white wines from Dão and those from Caves São João, in particular. For this reason, aging on fine lees took place in wooden vases, already heavily winered, for a period of 6 months, having been bottled without stabilization, after a very coarse filtration. With a straw yellow color and a very complex aroma, with evident mineral notes (flint and flint), phosphorus, spices, dry vegetable and very faint fruity notes and dried flowers. The wood notes are perfectly integrated, being practically imperceptible. It has great freshness and gustatory volume, however it is also elegant and quite persistent, characteristics that give it excellent gastronomic aptitude and for ageing. .
Caves São João Aguardente Vínica Velha
Lot of spirits obtained from the distillation of excellent Bairrada wines, with an average aging time of 17 years, in French Limousin oak barrels. These were slowly unfolded during their long aging, which greatly contributed to their fineness and delicacy. Topaz color, rich and intense aroma, with ethereal notes, toasted oak, vanilla, hazelnut, dried fig and light roasting. It has a very velvety and soft attack, developing later a hot, alcoholic sensation and, at the end of the process, the aromas of wood and vanilla are confirmed by the retronasal route. Contains sulfites.
Caves São João Velhíssima 1966
Intense topaz color. Clear appearance. A rich, intense and complex aroma, immediately revealing vanilla notes of coconut, originating from the oak wood where it aged, light smoky notes, sweet lactic nuances and subtle nuances of nuts. Flavor velvety, refined and aromatic, confirming the sensations felt by the direct smell, that linger long beyond the moment of the tasting. Contains sulfites.
Frei João Colheita Red
After manual harvesting, rigorous selection and total destemming, the grapes macerated for about a week in vats and presses with a pneumatic crusher at 27ºC. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for a long time in stainless steel and cement vessels. It was bottled after minimal clarification. Garnet color, complex aroma, with fruity, spicy, roasting and dry vegetable notes. Structured, fresh, full-bodied and long flavor. With tannins present but tamed. Contains sulfites.
Frei João Colheita White
Frei João White made with grapes harvested at the ideal time of maturation were gently pressed in a pneumatic press and the must fermented in stainless steel vats at 16ºC. After alcoholic fermentation, battonage was carried out for 2 months. Citrus yellow color, intense aroma of fresh fruits with white pulp, citrus and flowers, complexed with subtle mineral nuances. It is distinguished by its excellent taste freshness and beautiful aroma. Contains sulfites.
Luiz Costa Bruto White
After a very delicate pressing of the grapes, harvested between mid-August and the first days of September, the must fermented for 16 days in stainless steel vats at controlled temperature. The referral was carried out in a basement for 26 days at 15 ºC, followed by a 20-month bottle-aging period. Straw yellow color, aroma of citrus peel, dried flowers, light toast, butter cookie, and beeswax, among other aromatic notes of rich and complex palette. It has very fresh attack, and excellent texture. The mousse is creamy and has good taste persistence. Contains sulfites.
