Vinification is carefully adjusted to the different maturation states of each grape variety, including 40% whole bunch and prolonged macerations of at least 15 days, followed by aging in French oak barrels for 18 months. D. Áurea Red is a passionate tribute to the grandmother Áurea of the founder of Textura Wines. This exceptional wine, produced exclusively with Bastardo grapes from the Dão Serra da Estrela sub-region, is a vivid expression of the elegance, finesse and richness of flavors that characterized D. Áurea's vibrant personality.
Harvested in September 2021, the Bastardo grapes fermented in a press, with 30% whole bunches and macerated for 15 days. The wine then aged in barrels for a year, developing delicate aromas of red fruits, earthy notes and austere freshness.
In the mouth, it reveals a charming fusion of fruity character, freshness and elegance, with dry and precise tannins that provide a captivating texture. Textura Pura Magnum Red
It is a Dão red wine produced from a single plot in Dão in Gouveia, sub-region of Serra da Estrela. An old vineyard on poor granite soils, 55 years old and at an altitude of 600 meters, is planted in the old Dão way with a mixture of white and red grape varieties. The grapes were fermented in a used French oak vat (40% whole bunches) with indigenous yeasts only, followed by post-fermentation maceration for 30 days. Texture Pura red aged for 16 months in a used 3,000L French oak barrel and in used 225L French oak barrels for 16 months. It is a distinctive red wine, with delicate aromas of fresh red fruits, such as cherry and currant, some spices and forest aromas. In the mouth, it has remarkable acidity and minerality, very fine tannins. It is refined and pure with the ever present fruit. Long and complex finish.
Textura Pura White
Originating from the 28-55 year-old Texture vines in Vila Nova de Tazem, in the Serra da Estrela sub-region, at an altitude of 480-550 m, on granitic soils. The tear must naturally fermented in new French oak (70%) and foudre (30%) barrels. Aged for 11 months “sur lie” without batonnage, followed by 10 months in stainless steel tanks. Naturally stabilized. It is a very elegant wine, with delicate citrus aromas, mainly lemon and lime, cedar, pepper and even noticeable oak. Acidity and crunchy minerality, it shows great potential despite the concentration of old vines still young, dense and creamy. Long and pleasant finish. .
Textura Pura Red

Encoberta is the name of a small town in Penalva do Castelo (Castendo sub-region), where this wine was made with its own grapes. Vineyards aged 28 years at an altitude of 460 m with granite and clay soils are being converted to organic certification since 2020. It ferments with indigenous yeasts in French oak vats and with 35% whole bunch followed by 30 days of cuvaison. Aged for 15 months in used French oak barrels and vats. Naturally stabilized. It is a very characteristic red from Dão, from Penalva do Castelo. A little more fruity, denser and more textured than Serra da Estrela wines, black fruit and spicy notes also in the mouth. Vinha Negrosa Red
The grapes were fermented in a used French oak vat (40% whole bunches) with only indigenous yeasts, followed by a post-fermentation maceration for 30 days. The wine aged for 16 months in a used French oak barrel, with 3000 liters, and in used French oak barrels with 225 liters. Ruby color, floral aroma, light bush, strawberry, raspberry, light white pepper, dry leaves, tobacco box and tar. Dry, medium acidity and long finish. Contains sulfites.
