Textura Pura Red

It is a red wine from Dão produced from a single plot in the Dão in Gouveia, sub-region of Serra da Estrela. An old vine on poor granite soils, 55 years old and 600 meters above sea level is planted in the old Dão way with a mixture of white and red varieties. The grapes were fermented in a used French oak vat (40% whole bunches) only with indigenous yeasts, followed by post-fermentation maceration for 30 days. Texture Pura red 2018 aged for 16 months in a used 3,000L French oak barrel and in used 225L French oak barrels for 16 months. , some spices and woodsy aromas. In the mouth, it has remarkable acidity and minerality, very fine tannins. It’s refined and pure with the ever-present fruit. Long and complex finish. Contains sulfites.
