Discover the Quinta da Rede Vinha da Seara Red, an exquisite wine from the Douro, Lower Corgo sub-region. Originating from the slopes of Marão at an altitude of 450 meters, this wine is produced from a traditional blend of regional grape varieties, harvested in 'field blend'.
The vinification process includes total destemming and extended skin maceration, followed by alcoholic fermentation in robotic lagares with temperature control at 26ºC for 10 days. The wine matures for 14 months in new 300-liter French oak barrels, gaining complexity and refinement.
With a bright ruby color, Vinha da Seara displays an intense yet refined aroma, featuring high-quality red fruit complemented by notes of wet earth, rockrose, and spices. On the palate, it is elegant and delicate, with polished tannins, silky texture, and a freshness that promises to evolve in the bottle for decades. Ideal for pairing with lean meats such as chicken or veal, it should be served between 17ºC-18ºC.

A 100% Castelão, a disconcerting wine, which demonstrates the role of this variety in the ancient Alentejo strains. Freshness and purity. The grapes are selected on a sorting table, 30% whole bunch and 70% destemmed, falling by gravity into the vat. Spontaneous fermentation, 35-day aging and 18-month barrel aging. Fragile ruby garnet color. Very fine aroma, with hints of plum, tobacco and spices, on the palate the attack is medium bodied with good freshness. Manual harvest for small 20 kg perforated boxes, soft pressing of the whole bunches without destemming, in order to preserve the integrity of the grapes as much as possible, natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature between 16-17ºC in order to obtain the maximum expression of the combination: variety, soil and climate. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine was in contact with the fine lees, having been raised and stirred for about a month in stainless steel vats in order to gain creaminess and volume in the mouth. After bottling, the wine aged in bottle for 3 months before being placed on the market. It presents an intense aroma, of mineral character in balance with discreet notes of exotic fruits, melon and grapefruit. Acidity and freshness with fruit dominate the palate, feeling the same fruit as the nose, structured and smooth with very fresh acidity. Contains sulfites.
