This excellent Vintage Porto 2016 is an example of Sandeman's commitment to the quality of Port wine. This wine has an opaque, almost black color. The aroma is intense and complex, with prominent notes of ripe black fruit, resin as well as notes of cocoa and chocolate as a result of its excellent maturation. Great volume on the palate with a vibrant, fresh acidity, firm, high-quality tannins, floral notes of stew and notes of black fruit and chocolate. Using the traditional technology of Port Wine, this wine was vinified in the Quinta do Seixo winery, grapes originating both there and in Quinta do Vau. In addition to the selection process, the grapes were subjected to crushing and stalking before undergoing a very intense maceration during alcoholic fermentation, by treading on granite wineries at controlled temperatures automatically. The balance and harmony of this wine, as well as its body and structure, result from the selection of the best grapes, the intensity of the maceration and the choice of the right moment to stop the fermentation. Quinta de Ventozelo Vintage 2018 Ruby

Grapes harvested manually, with a very careful selection. After manual harvesting, the grapes were carefully inspected and destemmed. An intense maceration was then carried out in the first 48 hours to extract all the good components from the films, followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control. This was interrupted with the addition of brandy at the exact moment, followed by an aging process under careful conditions of minimal oxidation. Vintage de Ventozelo expresses all the typical terroir of cooler years and later vintage. Very heavily colored, with bluish tones. This vintage evokes the uniqueness of a very own and distinctive Quinta, with a characteristic aroma of rock rose and rosemary, combined with very ripe fruit. Fresh and silky, with robust tannins and a very persistent wild finish. Contains sulfites.

Quinta do Monte Xisto Magnum Red

The grapes were harvested by hand and transported to the cellar in 20 kg boxes. They were vinified in mills with treading on foot. Fermentation took place over 6 days in the mill with indigenous yeasts. This followed an 18-month stage in 600 liter kites. Intense ruby color, we bring the nose closer to the glass and the aroma is gradually discovered. First, the cistus, juniper, stands out, progressing to a universe of freshness seasoned by aromatic herbs. It is then alive and full of fruit. About 80% of the grapes come from vines planted in the 1990s and 20% from old vines aged between 60 and 100 years. The grapes were vinified in stainless steel vats of 5 and 10 tons of capacity, fully destemmed. The must fermented for about a week at 23º - 25º C, with programmed automatic pumping over. About 90% of the wine was aged for 8 months in stainless steel vats and the remainder in 3rd and 4th year French oak barrels of 225 lt. Concentrated aroma, highlighting the ripe red fruits, rock rose and violet. Good structure, fleshy with round tannins. Persistent ending. Contains sulfites.

Quinta do Vallado Sousão Red

Malolactic fermentation made in French oak barrels of 225 liters where it remained, after passing to clean, another 18 months. 40% new barrels and 60% barrels of 2nd year. Quinta do Vallado Sousão presents a very concentrated aroma, with balsamic notes of oak wood, black fruits, tobacco and spices. In the mouth it is full-bodied, fleshy with excellent acidity. The grapes, from our Quinta da Cabreira, in the Douro Superior, were transported in food plastic boxes and subjected to rigorous sorting at the entrance to the cellar. After a complete destemming and a slight crushing, the must was transferred to fermentation vats in stainless steel with controlled temperature. It aged in French oak barrels, where it remained for about 12 months. With a deep violet color, fresh aromas of wild Douro fruits stand out on the nose, very well integrated with soft notes of spice. Starts the mouth tasting in a harmonious way, evolving into a wine of great volume and compact structure, composed of tannins with dense texture.
