Château La Fleur-Pétrus 2011 Red
244,08 €
A medium ruby color is followed by a live nose of sweet kirsch, raspberries, flowers and notes of dusty and solitary soil. This fantastically scented 2011 is medium bodied, quintessentially elegant and loaded with flavor. Obviously the Moueixs devoted considerable time and money to updating this terroir, as recent wines were among the most impressive wines I have ever tasted from La Fleur-Petrus. This relatively advanced 2011 Pomerol should drink well for 10-15 years. Contains Sulfites.

Maçanita As Olgas Red

Explore the elegance and complexity of Maçanita As Olgas Red, a wine that was born in the centuries-old vineyards of Carlão, Cima Corgo. Grown at an altitude of 480 meters in soils that harmonize schist and granite, this wine promises a unique experience with an exclusive production of 2400kg/ha.
Carefully crafted using traditional techniques, including horse plowing and manual harvesting, Maçanita As Olgas Red goes through a meticulous winemaking process. The combination of partial stemming and prolonged maceration for 40 days, followed by an 18-month aging period in French oak barrels, gives it unparalleled quality.
This wine is distinguished by its ruby violet color and open notes of red fruit and balsamic aromas. In the mouth, it surprises with its volume, texture and depth, with firm and persistent tannins. Ideal to accompany red meats, game dishes and cheeses, Maçanita As Olgas Red is a true celebration of excellent winemaking.

In 2015 we enjoyed long and slow maturations that our older strains and our best plots have taken advantage of to provide grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two grape varieties that benefited most with the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, providing grapes in perfect maturity. With raw material so good we prefer to work them little, letting the grapes speak for themselves. That's why we did little more than one walk on our wineries, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by a stage in new barrels and barrels of second year of French oak, letting the wine express itself in the purest form . Very fleshy red color. Tense and closed, concentrated and powerful, floral and fruity, it ends with some earthy notes that add complexity. Silky and velvety in texture, it is an intense and structured red, vigorous but not aggressive, complex and elegant, fresh finish and great guarding potential. Contains Sulfites.
