The first, a 2.5-hectare plot, is part of a 12-hectare vineyard planted in 2003, while the second, 5 hectares, is part of a set of 8 hectares planted between 2016 and 2017. Both are located on generous slopes, at altitudes of 400 and 500 meters, respectively, facing South and Southeast, with significant slopes and granite soil, guaranteeing the excellence of the raw material. The vinification of this White Reserve is carried out with meticulous care, where around 40% of the alcoholic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, accompanied by "bâtonnage" over 10 months. This process gives the wine a unique complexity and richness, evident in its multifaceted aroma, which combines fruity nuances with a very subtle touch of wood and distinct notes of wet stone, adding depth to its taste profile. Mr. Amílcar chose to ferment this white wine, an Arinto from Quinta de Arcossó, directly in the Vidago region, 450 meters above sea level in Trás-os-Montes (Ribeira de Oura). He adopted a unique approach: 80% of the fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks with 'bâtonnage', while the remaining 20% ​​was fermented in French oak barrels. This exceptional Riesling comes from a careful selection of grapes grown on a dedicated plot of 0.8 hectares, set in an 8-hectare vineyard planted in 2016. Located on a southeast slope at an altitude of 450 meters, this land benefits from a 35% slope and granite soil, perfect conditions for the development of superior quality grapes. Harvested at the peak of ripeness, the grapes for this Riesling went through a meticulous process of alcoholic fermentation and aging in stainless steel vats, enriched with the "bâtonnage" technique during fermentation. After bottling, the wine matured in the bottle for eight months, culminating in a wine with a vibrant yellow color, with deep aromas of grapefruit and pear, and a dense, fresh palate that continues into a long-lasting finish, promising a unique and memorable taste experience.

Pasmados Garrafeira White

This wine comes from the exclusive Quinta dos Pasmados region, in Azeitão. In 1998, the landmark decision was made to replace the Chardonnay grape variety with Viosinho, with the origin of Arinto and Esgana also being changed from clay-limestone soils to sandy soils. In 2005, with the aim of improving the complexity of the wine, the Viognier variety, cultivated in our vineyards for over 40 years, was added. Around 1999, winemaker Domingos Soares Franco came across several bottles of Pasmados White from 1963 in the cellars. Displaying a yellowish tone that testified to its natural aging, the aroma revealed evolution, remaining fine, velvety and subtly fruity. On the palate, it stands out for its pleasantness and surprisingly well structured, presenting exceptional quality and notable acidity. Inspired by this discovery, Domingos Soares Franco then decided to test the production of a Pasmados with aging potential, using the 1963 as a reference. The best vintages are stored in the cellar, small quantities of bottles being sold again years later under the almost forgotten name of Garrafeira. Also rescuing Garrafeira's classification, Pasmados Garrafeira was born. Contains sulfites.
