The grapes were harvested manually and transported to the cellar where they were destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 26–27°C. After finishing, we kept the wine in post-fermentation maceration for 5 days. The malolactic fermentation occurred naturally in a stainless steel tank and then it was transferred to barrels where it remained for 18 months. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and 36 months in bottle. Powerful nose with notes of black fruit wrapped in spices and tobacco. In the mouth, the intensity of the freshness of Cabernet Sauvignon stands out, followed by the creamy texture of Alicante Bouschet, which leads us to an elegant and persistent finish. QUINTA DAS MAIAS White
7,75 €
MAIAS wine comes from the Quinta das Maias property, in organic farming, which is located at about 600 meters of altitude in the foothills of Serra da Estrela. The name derives from the yellow broom that covers the slopes of the mountain and here they are called «Mayas» because they bloom in the month of May.
The wines are characterized by the freshness of grapes from vines planted at altitude and by sandy granite-based soils.
This woodless white wine is dominated by the Malvasia Fina and Encruzado grape varieties, which contributes to the floral and plum notes with fresh and elegant aromas.
Proibido à capela Red

After manual harvesting and transport to the cellar in small boxes (18kg-20kg), the bunches were hand-de-stemmed and the grapes trodden by foot in a small press. Fermentation started spontaneously and lasted approximately 20 days. It was transferred to a pitcher without the use of electricity. This wine has a red fruit aroma. Fresh, light and disconcerting wine. Harmonization and longevity: It is a challenge to gastronomy. It can be consumed immediately or in the next 5 to 10 years, as long as it is stored lying down in a cool, dry place, protected from light and without temperature fluctuations. Contains sulfites.
Casa Velha Moscatel Galego White
8,81 €
Some of the best Moscatel grapes from the Favaios plateau are selected and harvested by hand. To extract the maximum aromatic richness of the grapes, a pre-fermentative maceration is carried out for 48 hours and only afterwards the clean must is extracted. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats for about 15 days with a controlled temperature between 15-18ºC. Once the alcoholic fermentation is finished, a 5-month stage begins, during which contact with fine lees is promoted, after which filtration and bottling follow. Bright and citrus colored, with intense floral and fruity aromas, with emphasis on lychees, roses and tropical fruits. In the mouth it is quite elegant, fresh and balanced, with good acidity and medium structure. It ends in a balanced and persistent way. Contains sulfites.
