Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2008 Rose
81,52 €
Pol Roger Rose Vintage is based on Brut Vintage (60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay) to which, before bottling and second fermentation, approximately 15% of the red wine (Pinot Noir) of the best crus on the market was added. Produced only in limited quantities, Brut Rose Vintage 2008 has a 7-year internship in the cellars before it was released. The fermentation is slow with the temperature maintained below 18 ° C, stainless steel with each variety maintained separately. The wine undergoes a complete malolactic fermentation prior to final mixing. The secondary fermentation occurs in a bottle at 9 ° C in the deepest cellars of Pol Roger (33 meters below street level) where the wine is kept until it is submitted to hand remuage, a rarity in Champagne nowadays. The very fine and persistent mousse for which Pol Roger is renowned owes much to these deep, fresh and humid basements. The bright pink color glows with a vivid stream of thin, persistent blisters, presaging the delicate mousse on the palate. The initial nose offers fine aromas of raspberry and gooseberry; if allowed to develop in the glass, the wine reveals wild strawberry notes reinforced by the seductive and characteristic aromas of Pinot Noir. In the mouth is realized the harmonious mass of notes of red fruits, offering an excellent balance of freshness supported by some citrus notes, as well as a rich structure. The wine has a large generous structure in the mouth, the elegant structure complemented by the intensity of the taste. Contains sulfites.
