Quinta de Arcossó Reserva Red is a notable example, the result of the distinct terroir of Arcossó, Vidago, in the Ribeira de Oura sub-region. Originating from an exclusive plot of 10.5 hectares, part of a 12-hectare vineyard planted in 2003, this wine reflects the excellence of viticulture in the region. Located on a slope to the south, at an altitude of 375 meters and with a slope of 20%, the granite soil gives the wine unique characteristics. Traditional winemaking in a press, with foot treading, followed by a 12-month aging period in French oak barrels, both new and used, culminates in a period of maturation in the cellar for 6 months after bottling.
This careful elaboration results in a wine of intense color and aroma, where floral and ripe fruit notes stand out, in perfect harmony with the elegance of the wood. This exceptional wine, produced exclusively with Bastardo grapes from the Dão Serra da Estrela sub-region, is a vivid expression of the elegance, finesse and richness of flavors that characterized D. Harvested in September 2021, the Bastardo grapes fermented in a press, with 30% whole bunches and macerated for 15 days. The wine then aged in barrels for a year, developing delicate aromas of red fruits, earthy notes and austere freshness.
In the mouth, it reveals a charming fusion of fruity character, freshness and elegance, with dry and precise tannins that provide a captivating texture. With its complexity and bottle aging potential, D. Áurea is a refined choice to celebrate special moments and honor the memory of a remarkable woman.

Vineyards installed on red soils derived from brown or crystalline limestone, with patches of schist, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with high temperature ranges and hot, dry summers. After the necessary early interventions during the growing season, the grapes were harvested manually and transported to the winery in small boxes. Once malolactic fermentation was completed, the wine was partially aged for 12 months in 2nd and 3rd year French and American oak barrels. After bottling, it rested in bottles for 2 months in our cellar. To preserve all its qualities, this wine has not been stabilized and can naturally deposit. Clear wine, violet red, aromas of cherry, blackberry, spices and floral notes. Structured, balanced and voluminous, with a full body and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.
