Château La Fleur-Pétrus 2011 Red
244,08 €
A medium ruby color is followed by a live nose of sweet kirsch, raspberries, flowers and notes of dusty and solitary soil. This fantastically scented 2011 is medium bodied, quintessentially elegant and loaded with flavor. Obviously the Moueixs devoted considerable time and money to updating this terroir, as recent wines were among the most impressive wines I have ever tasted from La Fleur-Petrus. This relatively advanced 2011 Pomerol should drink well for 10-15 years. Contains Sulfites.

Manual harvest for 15 kg boxes. Crushing and total destemming with protection against oxidation. Clarification by gravity for 18 hours. Fermentation in new barrels at a temperature between 16 and 20 ° C followed by aging in a barrel for 12 months. After bottling, a long aging in bottle followed. Citrus yellow color and shiny appearance. Delicate aroma, evolved, very complex and with discreet notes of wood, where the unmistakable character of the Arinto variety is detected. In the mouth, it is surprising for its remarkable acidity, powerful structure, creamy texture and delicate retronasal aroma, which give it a long and attractive finish. Contains sulfites.

Soalheiro Alvarinho White

An intense, elegant wine with volume. Beginning at the end of August, this harvest was the earliest ever harvested in Soalheiro, but it demonstrated an exceptional balance between the fruit and the acidity of the Alvarinhos of the unique terroir of Monção and Melgaço. The grapes, exclusively from the Alvarinho variety, are harvested manually in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short time. After pressing, the decanted wort is decanted for 48 hours, followed by controlled temperature fermentation, using pre-selected yeasts for this purpose. The bottling takes place after the stabilization of the wine, followed by a bottle stage. The Alvarinho Soalheiro winemaking is directed to obtain a wine that concentrates the quality of the grapes and allows a good evolution after the bottling. Citrus yellow color, aroma with the profile of Alvarinho Soalheiro Classical, intense and tropical with mineral notes. Contains Sulfites.
