Very dense in color intensity. Nose austere, with mineral nuances, fresh vegetable and tar-like notes. Mouth with full palate, acidity that accompanies always the test and exquisite and prolonged finish. Store in a cool place with no thermal amplitudes. Portions of selected grapes between the three properties of the family Messias – Douro, Bairrada and Dão. Individual vintage manual, choose bago to bago, followed by fermentation in small mills without temperature control. Prolonged 24-month aging in French and American oak barrels. Stage in bottle since December 2010.

Aged for 4 months in used French oak barrels. A wine concentrated and deep in the aroma, with a floral edge of great intensity, forest, pine forest and wild berries. Dense mouth with good structure, with present and appealing tannins with discreet vanilla finish. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel with temperature control at 27°C, with grapes that had been destemmed.
Quinta de Lemos Dona Georgina 2013 Red

Touriga Nacional, full and voluminous with a sweet and structured Tinta Roriz, growing on slopes at an altitude between 350 and 400 meters. The vine is grown within an integrated protection program. Infestation control is achieved through soil movement. The grape harvest is hand made, caste by caste, when they reach the ideal point of maturation, usually between the second fortnight of September and the first fortnight of October. Harvest is placed in small boxes of 10 kg. These wines are obtained after fermentation at a controlled temperature in order to preserve all its aromatic elegance in large wooden barrels and a stainless steel tank for 7 to 10 days. The wine is produced by malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and has a subsequent maturation period of 18 months to enhance its structure and complexity. Quinta de Lemos Dona Georgina presents a dense texture with ripe plums and gooseberries. Sweet and fragrant in the mouth, with quality balsamic notes conferring extra complexity. Long finish and a good balance between power and elegance. Contains Sulfites.

Very smooth pressing of whole destemmed grapes. Cold clarification for a long period. Fermentation in used 400 liter French oak barrels. Aging in these barrels for 9 months with batonnage on total lees. Very fine aromas of low intensity where high quality wood is noted. Elegant and extremely mineral with smoky nuances. Excellent structure and acidity. Very elegant and long finish with delicate finish of the Alvarinho variety. Contains Sulfites.
Quinta do Vallado Magnum Red

About 80% of the grapes come from vines planted in the 1990s and 20% from old vines aged between 60 and 100 years. The grapes were vinified in stainless steel vats of 5 and 10 tons of capacity, fully destemmed. The must fermented for about a week at 23º - 25º C, with programmed automatic pumping over. About 90% of the wine was aged for 8 months in stainless steel vats and the remainder in 3rd and 4th year French oak barrels of 225 lt. Concentrated aroma, highlighting the ripe red fruits, rock rose and violet. Good structure, fleshy with round tannins. Persistent ending. Contains sulfites.
