The harvest took place in the last week of September. The grapes were harvested manually, to small boxes of 18kg. The alcoholic fermentation lasted about 15 days, with gentle maceration for a good extraction of aromas and color. After fermentation, it was transferred to French oak barrels where it remained for 12 months. After bottling the wine remained about 6 months in a fresh cellar before being released to the market. It presents an intense ruby color, aromas of forest fruits and notes of ripe plum, with an excellent structure and a long and expressive finish. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Rede Grande Reserva White
18,49 €
Discover the Quinta da Rede Grande Reserva White, a distinguished wine from the Lower Corgo in the Douro region. This white wine is meticulously crafted, starting with manual grape selection, followed by total destemming and cold skin maceration for 8 hours, before gentle pneumatic pressing and fermentation in French oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 15ºC.
The wine matures for 9 months in the same barrels, 35% of them new, with "battonage" every 15 days "en sur lie", enhancing its complexity. It boasts an intense citrine color with greenish reflections and an aroma that blends notes of ripe peach and orange with a mineral touch of wet stone and soft smoky notes.
On the palate, the Grande Reserva White is full-bodied and notable in volume, yet remains elegant and harmonious. It finishes with a crisp freshness that ensures persistence and longevity. Ideal for pairing with fatty fish, all variants of cod, grilled white meats, and soft sheep's cheeses, this wine should be served at 12ºC.

Casa da Passarella O Fugitivo Uva-Cão White

A concept for wines that happen. For unique conditions in unique years. For a constant concern, a challenge to all standards. They could be called "collection wines", but they are mostly wines to be found. And above all, discovered. Present exclusively in the old vineyards of Serra da Estrela, and famous for its high levels of acidity, this variety was usually planted at the entrance of the vineyards - definitely not the best grape to eat. Its name says it all: Uva-Cão, the "grape that guards the vine". To the most curious and the most sensitive, a warning - the acidity of this wine is remarkable! Vinification in a cement vat, with aging in 500 Lts used barrels. Citrine color, aroma of enormous freshness and elegant, delicate mouth and great complexity. Long aftertaste. Contains sulfites.
Adega de Borba Reserva Red
9,45 €
With grapes from the most typical Alentejo grape varieties produced in the sub-region of Borba, the label Cortiça wine was produced, a true ex-libris from the Adega de Borba. Coming from old vines, the grapes had a strict control in the evolution of the maturation, having been harvested in small quantities. In the Cellar, after the destemming and soft crushing of the grape, the alcoholic fermentation began, which lasted for about 10-15 days with the temperature controlled at 24ºC, for greater extraction of the aromas and fruity flavors of the grape. In order to increase the polyphenolic complexity, the tannins and the structure of the wine, it remained in the vat in a post-fermentative maceration process. The malolactic fermentation occurred later in stainless steel containers. To enhance and elevate its organoleptic characteristics, the wine aged 12 months in 3rd and 4th year barrels, French oak and exotic wood barrels. followed by a six-month bottling stage in the basement. Aroma fine and elegant, suggesting black fruits, compote and white chocolate. Contains Sulfites.
