Manual harvest in boxes of 18 kg. After sorting, the grapes are destemmed and slightly crushed. The grapes fall directly into the vat by gravity, without using pumps. Cold pre-maceration until fermentation starts spontaneously. Total maceration about 40 days. Aged for 24 months in French oak, 30% new oak and 70% second and third use French oak.

After the selection of the grapes in the vineyards of our associates, the harvest takes place. In the cellar they are unloaded and immediately destemmed and crushed, followed by a light skin maceration in order to extract all the aromatic compounds from the film. Subsequently, the grapes are pressed with oxidation protections from which the tear must is extracted which, after static clarification, starts the fermentation in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures (15/16º) and is then transferred to French oak barrels where the fermentation ends and remains internship for another 6 months. Strong intensity of the varietal aromas of the variety where pineapple and grapefruit stand out. On the palate, full bodied showing elegantly ripe tannins. Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional Red

Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional 2016 aged in French oak barrels where it remained for 18 months. The grapes, from the best plots of Touriga Nacional at Quinta do Crasto, were transported in boxes of 22 kg capacity and subjected to rigorous sorting at the entrance to the cellar. After a complete destemming and a slight crushing, the must was transferred to fermentation vats in stainless steel with controlled temperature. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation, a soft pressing was carried out. It is a rich violet colored wine, with elegant violet notes on the nose, in perfect harmony with soft notes of fresh spice and wild Douro fruits. Starts the mouth tasting in a harmonious way, evolving into a wine with excellent volume and fine texture tannins very well matched with violet aromas. An engaging wine that mirrors the entire identity of Touriga Nacional and ends with excellent freshness and persistence. Contains Sulfites.
