Experience the uniqueness of Maçanita Fontainhas White, a wine that was born in the heart of Cima Corgo, in Carlão. This nectar originates from centuries-old vines, 120 years old, located at an impressive altitude of 733 meters, on pure granite soils.
The dedication to traditional viticulture is evident in the plowing carried out on horseback and the manual harvest, guaranteeing grapes of exceptional quality, carefully transported in 18kg boxes. Vinification follows respectful methods, with direct whole-bunch pressing and spontaneous fermentation in barrels, culminating in a 12-month aging period in neutral barrels.
Maçanita Fontainhas White reveals itself to be austere in aroma, with a distinct mineral touch and delicate dry vegetal notes, giving it a notable aromatic definition and a mysterious character. The high acidity and freshness stand out, revealing an exceptional complexity in the mouth. This is a white wine of rare finesse and originality, perfect for connoisseurs looking for unique wine experiences.

The grapes are harvested into small boxes and received in the property's cellar. Manual sorting is followed by destemming and gentle crushing, after which the grapes are transferred to fermentation vessels using a peristaltic pump. Fermentations are followed individually and temperatures and maceration movements are adjusted in order to maximize the potential of the grapes. Aging 50% of the batch aged for 6 months in third and fourth year 400L French oak barrels. The relatively fresh cycle of the year is reflected in the elegance and clarity of the aromas, which denote pine and eucalyptus and also notes of rose bush. It also reveals hints of raspberry and currant. In the mouth it is very fresh, with wild fruit flavors complemented by spicy notes from fine tannins, as well as cloves and nutmeg.
