The aging process of this Moscatel took place in a unique warehouse, under conditions of high natural temperature ranges, favoring an aromatic complexity and incomparable flavors. Manual harvest. Fermentation of grapes in a foot-treading mill. Dehydration of skins, subsequently macerated in wine brandy. Post-fermentative maceration of the doughs together with wine brandy. Pressing and later stage in old wood casks. The first Moscatel from the Douro to have this age designation. The wine results from several batches of muscatel, all of which come from our Quinta da Faísca, which have aged in used wooden casks. The youngest of these was 73 years old.
