Moscatel Secret Spot King Very Old
949,99 €
Manual harvest. Fermentation of grapes in a foot-treading mill. Dehydration of skins, subsequently macerated in wine brandy. Post-fermentative maceration of the doughs together with wine brandy. Pressing and later stage in old wood casks. The first Moscatel from the Douro to have this age designation. The wine results from several batches of muscatel, all of which come from our Quinta da Faísca, which have aged in used wooden casks. The youngest of these was 73 years old.

Moscatel Favaios Commemorative Edition 70 Years
198,68 €
Moscatel 70 Years from Adega Cooperativa de Favaios, created from the best seven harvests since its foundation, one per decade (1964, 1975, 1980, 1999, 2007, 2011 and 2020), is a hymn to the art of blending wines and also to the true muscat of the Douro. The Moscatel Galego variety, unlike the Moscatel de Setúbal, found in the freshness of the altitude (between 550 and 600 meters) and in the fertile soils of the Favaios-Alijó plateau the perfect place to express all its aromatic richness and acidic freshness. Unlike other fortified wines, the great Muscat wines, the most durable, are often born from grapes tending to be green rather than ripe. A sublimation of some fresh lychee, dried fruit, candied orange, honey, glycerine, spices and life-giving acidity. All in a harmonious dose, far from the syrupy muscat profile, too sweet and concentrated, and the thin and uncomplex muscat type. It's so good that, even when the glass is emptied, there's a delicious perfume left that makes you want to sip.
Moscatel Favaios Siza Vieira 1980
118,74 €
The Favaios 1980 is the type of wine that vinifies only in the years in which the grapes have demonstrated to have an exceptional quality. After careful selection of the best Favaios grapes they were macerated and fermented as they were traditionally in the region. The alcoholic fermentation is very short, and soon after the ascent of the blanket is bleeding of most of the wort and application of brandy. A small part of the wort, however, continues to ferment and macerate with the films for a few more days and only later is the fermentation of this very aromatic rich must. The first and second mustards are then blended and stored in very old wood shavings and then age slowly improving their bouquet over decades. It has a very intense aroma, while still preserving some citrus aromas. Rich in typical aromas of aging, such as walnuts, dried figs, toasted and cocoa. In the flavor is bulky but delicate, with the sweetness well balanced by the acidity, fresh and elegant. Contains sulfites.
