BASTARDINHO 40-Year-Old Fortified Wine

After extremely long years of aging of the Bastardinho from Azeitão (Trousseau), this extraordinary nectar from the Setúbal Peninsula has arrived. Aged in used wooden casks. Its fermentation was stopped by the addition of grape brandy, and it had a 5-month skin maceration. Very deep amber color with a well-defined green halo and a reddish background. Extremely fruity aroma of almond, hazelnuts, clove, walnuts, figs, honey. Subtlety, elegance, and great balance. Finesse, freshness, smoothness, very elegant, excellent sugar/acid balance. Very long finish. Contains sulfites.
