Vista Alegre 10 Anos White
Vinification according to the traditional method for Porto. After gentle crushing with partial destemming, alcoholic fermentation with skin maceration follows. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperature and is interrupted by the addition of wine spirit. The entire winemaking process, which is monitored by the oenology team, takes into account the grape varieties, their degree of maturation and the desired sweetness. This wine is the result of a selection and combination of white wines, aged in oak casks for over 10 years. A very versatile wine, in addition to being an excellent aperitif, it can also be paired very well with foie gras, cheeses, desserts, or simply enjoyed alone. Serve chilled, at a maximum temperature between 10°C and 12°C. Keep the bottle at a constant temperature and protected from strong light. Preferably consume within 16 to 18 weeks after opening. Nicolau Almeida Leve Seco White
The grapes were harvested manually from a plot at the top of Quinta do Monte Xisto facing North and transported to the winery, located in Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in 20kg boxes. Vinification in cement vats with dough over 3 days, followed by pressing to finish the fermentation and subsequent addition of brandy. Internship in a cement vat in the warehouse in Vila Nova de Gaia, close to the sea, with excellent conditions of temperature and humidity. The wine is the result of a blend of 4 different harvests and falls into the Porto Branco Leve Seco category, as the aim is to make a wine with the lowest possible degree of sugar. This wine gives us a feeling of freshness, but at the same time some hints of maturation. A true blend in which the young man marries the adult. It combines aromas of fresh and dried fruits. With a more attentive nose, we are transported to oriental aromas such as black tea and exotic infusions. From the first approximation we get the sensation of volume and intensity. The palate is soft with a sequence of flavors of plum, fig, lemon, orange, chestnut...reflecting great complexity. At the end you can feel a slight warm and sweet touch, reminding us that it is a Port wine, but light. A unique wine. Contains sulfites.
