Quinta de Arcossó Grande Reserva Red
Quinta de Arcossó Grande Reserva Red is a prestigious wine, cultivated with care in Arcossó, Vidago, in the Ribeira de Oura sub-region. Coming from a privileged plot of 10.5 hectares, within a 12-hectare vineyard planted in 2003, this Grande Reserva grows on a southern slope, 400 meters above sea level, benefiting from a 20% slope and granite soil, elements that give the grapes exceptional quality.
The grapes were trodden by foot in 1000-liter vats and fermented in old chestnut wood barrels, over 100 years old, for 15 days, under careful manual pumping. After malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, the wine was divided, with half returning to the barrels and the other half maturing in new French oak barrels for 12 months, without resorting to mechanical processes, preserving the integrity and essence of the wine.
With a color as deep as the mountains from which it comes, Quinta de Arcossó Grande Reserva Red displays an intense and complex aroma, marked by red fruits and black olives, enriched by a striking minerality, a reflection of the region's hydro-mineral wealth. The palate, robust and structured like the granite that shelters the vineyards, reveals a surprising softness, freshness and notes of mint and spices. Set Herdade das Servas Alicante Bouschet Red 2017 + Touriga Nacional Red 2017 + Petit Verdot Red 2017
Vineyards installed on red soils derived from brown or crystalline limestone, with patches of schist, benefiting from a Mediterranean climate with high temperature ranges and hot, dry summers. After the necessary early interventions during the growing season, the grapes were harvested manually and transported to the winery in small boxes. Once malolactic fermentation was completed, the wine was partially aged for 12 months in 2nd and 3rd year French and American oak barrels. After bottling, it rested in bottles for 2 months in our cellar. To preserve all its qualities, this wine has not been stabilized and can naturally deposit. Clear wine, violet red, aromas of cherry, blackberry, spices and floral notes. Structured, balanced and voluminous, with a full body and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.

In addition to honoring Amália, this wine contributes to the Foundation bearing her name, benefiting institutions such as Casa do Artista and the restoration of Amália's house, thus preserving her legacy. A remarkable collaboration between Rita Nabeiro, Francisca Van Zeller, Maria Manuel Maia, Luísa Amorim, Rita Pinto, Mafalda Guedes and Catarina Vieira, representing the union of regions and purposes in Portugal.

Dust tries to be a balanced and elegant wine. In general the wines of the Douro are supported in the tannin, but the Dust is sustained in the acidity. A very drinkable and appetizing wine when new but at the same time has the capacity to evolve. I want each wine to be the mirror of the vineyards that give it origin, maintaining its profile but following the variations that occur in the vineyard year after year. Contains Sulfites.
