The first known historical references about Quinta da Pellada appear around 1570. The Demarcated region of Dão was established in 1908, framed by three mountainous massifs – Buçaco, Caramulo and Serra da Estrela – that preserve it from the Atlantic winds. they provide very special weather conditions and Álvaro Castro is one of the best Portuguese producers and the undisputed leader in his region of Dão. Contains sulfites.
