The first known historical references about Quinta da Pellada appear around 1570. The Demarcated region of Dão was established in 1908, framed by three mountainous massifs – Buçaco, Caramulo and Serra da Estrela – that preserve it from the Atlantic winds. they provide very special weather conditions and Álvaro Castro is one of the best Portuguese producers and the undisputed leader in his region of Dão. The grapes were vinified at controlled temperatures in stainless steel vats before being subjected to a long maceration. The wine aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, with regular agitation, before being blended and bottled. Paço dos Infantes Reserve is a red wine of great aromatic complexity, with an open and mineral bouquet, from the wine region of Alentejo. It is a red wine that has a core full of fruit aromas wrapped in balsamic notes, with intense and smooth tannins and very balanced acidity.

Textura da Estrela Red comes from 3 different vineyard plots, all of them in Vila Nova de Tazem (Serra da Estrela sub-region). In 2018, it was a lot composed of Vinha Velha (35%), Touriga Nacional (30%), Jaen (20%) and Alfrocheiro (15%). Vineyards aged 25 to 60 years in granitic soils, treated sustainably and without herbicides, have been converting to organic certification since 2020. On the 25th and 26th of September, the grapes were hand-picked, which after fermenting in stainless steel vats with 35 % whole bunch, stayed in cuvaison for 30 days of. Aging for 15 months in used French oak barrels and vats. Naturally stabilized. Red wine with great refinement and great freshness. It has mineral and earthy character, light pepper and some red fruit. It shows velvety and textured tannins, very fine and slightly spicy from the stem. Gastronomic when ordering food and a dry and prolonged finish. It ages to an even more elegant profile. Contains sulfites.
Quinta dos Roques Tinta Roriz Red

Pressing the grapes with total destemming, followed by fermentation in stainless steel vats with selected yeasts at a temperature of 28-30ºC. Maceration period of 12 days with "reassemblages". Aging in 225L French oak barrels for 10 months. Bright, grenadine color, with an intense fruit bouquet with aromas of blackberry, with vanilla and oak notes. The harvest took place in the second week of September, with careful selection of the grapes in the vineyard. The grapes manually harvested for small boxes of 18 kg were immediately pressed with stink and the resulting must passed to small stainless steel tanks where it decanted at low temperature for 48 h.
