Quinta da Pellada Alfrocheiro Red

The grapes were vinified respecting all their nature, vinification was done by hand, without pump, natural and minimal yeast extraction. Quinta da Pellada Alfrocheiro is a smooth, dark wine with chocolate on the nose. The palate is bold and structured with elegant dominant smooth fruit. Still in development, with some obvious oak. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada Pape Red

The “Premium” line of Quinta da Pellada wines has long been an icon of Dão wines. For Álvaro Castro, the viticulture and the characteristics of each year are that shape each harvest, however, dedication and alertness are essential so that nature can be “protected”, in order to exercise the minimum of human intervention in the elaboration of each one of their wines. This field blend, which joins castes from Quinta da Pellada and Casa da Passarella, has been staging for 14 months in allier oak casks. Intense ruby color, very concentrated in the aroma, modern and vigorous style. In the mouth, compote and game notes in which the final toasted notes leave a pleasant memory. Tannins fine and of good quality, everything very well proportioned, giving it a great complexity. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada DOC Red

The old vineyard of Quinta da Pellada is our greatest genetic heritage, where a large ampelographic colection has been planted, representing the varieties always present in the vineyards of the Dão Demarcated Region. We have identified, reproduced and vinified some of these indigenous varieties which in recent decades, for various reasons, sometimes qualitative and sometimes productive, have lost expression in the region and in the country. In order to recognise and to interpret their value, this work of recovery has given rise to the release of some wines. Wines which are produced after a carefully selection throughout the Quinta da Pellada field blend vineyard from the heathiest plnats of each variety and parcels. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada Carrocel Red

Turning the senses around, the Carousel is a wine made only in years when the fruit reaches very high quality. Made 100% from Touriga Nacional, fermentation in a winery, where the wine masses turn from winery to winery and the temperature “refreshes” the fermentation, it produces a fresh, balanced and exuberant wine, where the variety shows its full potential . Quinta da Pellada Pape Magnum Red

This wine comes from grapes from Quinta da Pellada and Touriga Nacional from the Outeiro vineyard. In years when the Baga variety reaches its full potential, it also enters into the constitution of this batch. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada Magnum Red

For Quinta da Pellada, mainly the “field blend” grapes of the old vineyard, but also the varieties Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, where you can discover the intense fruit and freshness from the grapes of the farm that give the name to this wine. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada Carrocel Magnum Red

Quinta da Pellada Primus White

Primus “is the harmony between exuberance and longevity. Exotic fruit, citrus and an ideal marriage between minerality, texture and acidity.
This wine, predominantly of the Encruzado variety, among many other grape varieties planted in the old Pellada vineyard, was partially fermented in barrels, followed by 3-month batonage and bottling. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada Jaen Red

The grapes were vinified respecting all their nature, vinification was done by hand, without pump, natural and minimal yeast extraction. Quinta da Pellada Jaen is very intense and bright colors. The aroma shows great complexity, with aromas of plums and red fruits. Very elegant on the palate with great structure, firm fresh and velvety tannins. It is subtle, with intense fruit flavors and impressive acidity. Contains Sulfites.

Quinta da Pellada Mulher Nua Red

Spontaneous fermentation, obviously with indigenous yeasts, took place in a stainless steel mill, followed by a 36-month stage in three 400L oak casks, second/third use. Direct gravity bottling. This wine is the result of an attempt to recreate the Pelada 2003, in which, at the time, it was intended to demonstrate the elegant and balanced character of Dão wines. A part of the lot comes from the Alto and Meio plots, from the old vineyard (70 years old) of Quinta da Pellada, where there is a great genetic heritage, with no predominance of any variety. The other part of the lot comes from Touriga Nacional from plot 5 of Quinta da Pellada. Contains sulfites.
