Organic wine: Manual harvest for small 15 kg perforated boxes, fermentation with cold technology, in a reductive environment, with controlled temperature around 16ºC. The grapes are pressed without crushing and without destemming under an inert atmosphere in order to preserve all the aromatic potential of the grapes. A great effort is made to ensure that all pre-fermentation operations are carried out with the utmost rigor, being responsible for the intrinsic quality of the future wine. The entire wine is fermented in used French oak and remains there after a small racking over fine lees with periodic “battonage” stirring until the final blend is made. 6 months in French oak barrels, fermentation and agitation stage with fine lees, coming from the very sandy Upper Douro granitic soil at an average altitude of 575 meters. It has a citrus and mineral aroma, grapefruit notes, discrete exotic fruits and country flowers. Very persistent and fresh mouth with very lively citrus notes, resulting in a very elegant set.

Quinta do Vallado Reserva Field Blend has a very concentrated aroma, with balsamic notes of oak, fig and blackberry, tobacco. Flavor very full-bodied, fleshy with ripe and round tannins. The finish is elegant, mineral, very persistent and complex. Contains Sulfites.

The wine aged for 14 months in new and used 225L French oak barrels. Intense aroma with notes of spices, balsamic, floral and cedar. From the Merlot variety, the aromas come with notes of green pepper and chocolate. In the mouth, soft and ripe tannins, filled with the freshness and red fruit typical of Touriga Nacional. It presents an elegant and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.
Quinta da Pellada Alto Red
53,10 €
The Quinta da Pellada Alto was aged for 28 months in French oak use room. This is one of a trio of wines, this issue that owner Álvaro Castro has issued with old style labels as an exercise in terroir. This is a field mix of the highest plot (although in less than 10 meters - the differences are more in the soil); The House is the "most exposed" corner, with a different kind of soil; and the "49" is the middle pack. Its elegance makes it look lighter, but it is much more concentrated than the first taste would suggest. It has excellent fineness of the middle palate, full of flavor, well rolled and beautifully constructed.
Contains Sulfites.
