Vinha do Mouro Red
9,29 €
Discover the Vinha do Mouro Red, a distinguished wine from the vineyards of Estremoz, located at an altitude of 450 meters, benefiting from a continental Mediterranean climate with significant thermal amplitude during the maturation period. This climatic context contributes to the uniqueness and quality of this wine.
The grapes are handpicked in small 20 kg boxes. After total destemming, the grapes are foot-trodden in traditional lagares for three days with cold pre-fermentative maceration. Fermentation follows in stainless steel vats with controlled temperatures between 24-26ºC and pressing in wooden baskets with a vertical hydraulic press. About 15% of the blend matures for 12 months in new Portuguese oak barrels, giving it a unique structure.
Vinha do Mouro Red displays a medium intensity ruby color and offers an aromatic complexity that blends fresh red and black fruits with notes of spices and a slight vegetal touch. On the palate, it features a well-balanced structure, fine fruit, light and elegant tannins, and well-integrated acidity that ensures a vibrant and persistent finish. Ideal for pairing with rich and varied dishes, it should be served at a temperature of 16-18ºC.

In view of the high qualitative potential demonstrated, an additional period of skin maceration was followed, enhancing the structure, depth and complexity of the wine, after which it was transferred to 225l oak barrels. Aged for 18 months in 90% French and 10% American oak barrels. Menin Douro’s New Legacy Reserva is a wine that has an intense ruby color, very fine aromas of sour cherry, cassis and dark chocolate, where at the same time it manifests balsamic and cherry notes, nutmeg and peppermint. It reveals a well-structured mouth, but full of harmony and freshness, with a long and persistent aftertaste.

Caves São João 98 Years of Story White
28,35 €
This wine was created with minimal intervention, in order to respect the qualitative potential of the exceptional grapes that originated it, as well as respecting the classicism of white wines from Dão and those from Caves São João, in particular. For this reason, aging on fine lees took place in wooden vases, already heavily winered, for a period of 6 months, having been bottled without stabilization, after a very coarse filtration. With a straw yellow color and a very complex aroma, with evident mineral notes (flint and flint), phosphorus, spices, dry vegetable and very faint fruity notes and dried flowers. The wood notes are perfectly integrated, being practically imperceptible. It has great freshness and gustatory volume, however it is also elegant and quite persistent, characteristics that give it excellent gastronomic aptitude and for ageing. .
