In 1743 in southern Poland, on the slopes of the Carpathian mountains, a group of seniors discovered that the secret of fine vodka was determined by a single five-stage process of distillation using sweet and late rye from neighboring Wielkopolska fields. This gave a softer and softer flavor than the traditional grains. They combine the superb distilled with water from a mountain spring that is exceptionally pure and smooth.
