Discover the Plantation Panama Vintage 2010, an exceptional edition resulting from Alexandre Gabriel's daring journey into the mysterious jungles of Panama. Deep in this green paradise, he found the Don José Distillery, established on the site of Panama’s first sugar mill, a remote location that promises to enchant rum aficionados. Alexandre selected 22 exquisite barrels from the 2010 harvest, shaped by the lush rainforests and rolling hillsides surrounding the distillery. Plantation Rum's signature double-aging technique, with 8 years of rest in Central America followed by a transatlantic journey to southwestern France and another 5 years in French oak casks, lends this rum a unique complexity. This carefully selected limited release is a true explosion of character, blending ripe fruit flavors with fresh coconut and irresistible spices. On the nose, it is fragrant and fruity, with notes of fresh coconut, dill, plum, nectarine, citrus, almond, cinnamon, vanilla, honey, and sesame. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity, and spicy, with pear, berries, orange, and figs, complemented by butterscotch and hints of coffee, pepper, and custard. The finish is long and dry, with notes of coconut, banana, tobacco, all spices, chocolate, and licorice.

With a blend of Plantation's oldest reserves, this rum is something else. The selected Runs aged and from the Caribbean are later meticulously mixed by the master distiller at the Château de Bonbonnet. Then it is matured in small French oak barrels for another 12 to 18 months. The double aging gives the rum an incomparably round and creamy taste. With the color of old mahogany, the Plantation XO reveals a nose with exotic notes of vanilla, oak and roasted coconut, enhanced by more complex cocoa, orange candied aromas and cigar box aromas.
