First things first – this gin comes in beautiful packaging. Designed to look like an antique medicine bottle, it’s light green, made of fluted glass and highlighted with glorious copper accents. As for the gin, all many people will need to know is that it’s made by the same team who created the highly celebrated Gin Mare. Created from a whopping seven distillations, many of which are centred around citrus botanicals, Le Tribute is a stunningly vibrant citrus gin with underlying notes of lemongrass and (of course) juniper.

The blend of selected botanical species was macerated in wine alcohol, to which wine spirit was added, both from the distillation of wines at Quinta de Ventozelo. To the characteristic aromas of the forest, the vegetable garden and the orchard, joins the vinous aroma of the wine spirit that composes this Gin, which runs through the entire tasting, giving it smoothness and persistence. An excellent marriage of the fresh and citrus notes of lemon peel, mint, coriander leaves and lemon thyme, with the aromas of the woods, juniper, lavender, beautiful light thyme and perpetual purple. The botanists, from four different continents, were developed and selected by the plant expert, depending on the season, always choosing the highest quality plants at all times, from where they come from.
Ferdinand’s Saar Dry
Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin features a particularly intricate recipe, with 30 different botanicals in the mix, including thyme, sloe and rose hip, among (many) others. As if that wasn't enough, the German distillers add a very specific amount of fruity, semi-sweet Riesling. There's lots going on in Ferdinand's Saar Dry Gin, but it's all well balanced and yummy.
