Quinta do Vesúvio is considered to be the most magnificent property in the Douro Vallley. This legendary vineyard stands alone both in terms of remoteness and sheer grandeur and was acquired in 1999 by the Symington family, whose winemaking experience in the Douro property that back over centuries. It is the last major Douro property that continues to produce its Ports exclusively by treading in granite lagares, maintaining an unbroken tradition that dates back in 1827. Store this bottle lying down and decant before serving. Contains sulfites.

Good personality in the mouth, vigorous but very well integrated and harmonized with the volume and freshness given by the acidity.

Deep, almost opaque color. Aroma of excellent complexity, with notes of spices, adding curry, pepper, ginger, red fruits and black fruits. The wine has a light touch of cocoa with a slightly stony finish, the result of good maturation. In the mouth it is intense and complex with a lively acidity, firm and well present tannins with a very long and highly concentrated finish. Contains sulfites.

It is aged in Portuguese and Brown oak casks for a period of 24 months. The grapes are trampled on foot in the Quinta's mills to obtain the must. They are then macerated during fermentation to obtain the best possible extraction of the polyphenolic components. Short fermentation cycle of 4 days. Quinta da Romaneira Vintage 2018, is magnificently mature, full of color, intensely fruity, expressive and with a wonderful underlying freshness. The nose is characteristic of Romaneira, wild and aromatic. The finish is long and delicate. Contains sulfites.
