Fermented wine with partial destemming at a controlled temperature (24-28ºC) when the must reaches the desired sweetness value, fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy (77%), later aging in oak wood, in the warehouses in Vila Nova de Gaia until it is bottled, between the 2nd and 3rd year, after approval. Wine with aromas of evolution where aromas of spices and dried fruits (hazelnut) stand out. In the mouth it is a very delicate wine confirming the aromas, with a long and pleasant aftertaste.

Tread on foot in granite mills for 3 or 4 nights, with careful temperature control. Aged in oak barrels for 24 months before bottling. Very dark violet color and strong aromatic intensity. Complex aroma, black fruit, floral and spicy. In the mouth, it maintains all its intensity without losing any energy or freshness. Well structured, like any classic vintage, it will certainly evolve in the bottle for several decades, but it is so rich and seductive that it becomes difficult to resist opening the bottle while still young. Contains sulfites.

It was acquired in 1989 by the Symington family, whose experience in the Douro dates back to several centuries. The Quinta is the last large Douro estate that keeps granite lagoon treading as an exclusive method in the production of its Port wines, continuing a tradition dating back to 1827. Manual harvesting transported in small boxes. Laceration in stainless steel mill and vat at an approximate temperature of 28-30ºC. Stage of 1 year in hull, with filling in the second year. The great majority of the grapes come from the Pinhão River Valley where the Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz are able to withstand the heat that has occurred in the summer. These grapes have been added to other Douro valleys, which translates into a classic blend of the region. The fermentation took place in a mix of closed vats to guarantee the freshness and aromatic component, mill to guarantee greater complexity and structure. After a slow aging and care in our cellars in the Douro, this Vintage now has an intense and mature fruity, in addition to a floral that conveys excellent freshness. It shows a strong concentration and structure in the mouth accompanied always with a rich and aromatic component variability. A classic vintage definitely remembering other decades. Contains sulfites.
