To celebrate the new century and the new millennium, Trilogia was created, a rare and special edition, the result of the combination of three great vintages of the 20th century, chosen by winemaker Domingos Soares Franco: 1900, 1934 and 1965. The Trilogia is limited to 13,926 bottles that were filled and placed on the market in October 1999. Enjoy in good company and on a special occasion. Following the tradition started by José Maria da Fonseca in the last century, fermentation is stopped with the addition of brandy. Skin contact lasts 5 months. In March, after the harvest, the masses are pressed and the resulting wine is then blended with the teardrop wine. The crops that make up this wine were aged in used oak barrels. A limited edition of 500 bottles was created in collaboration with Matthew Vaughn and MARV to celebrate the worldwide release of the film O Homem do Rei. This muscatel is a treasure among Portuguese wines. For over 100 years, 575 liters have aged in oak barrels used in the José Maria da Fonseca winery, Adega dos Teares Velhos, in Azeitão. This Moscatel Roxo is the result of intense work distributed between the vineyard and the winery. The vineyard was accompanied and spoiled all the time so that the yields did not exceed 2500 liters / ha and the grapes arrived at the winery in the sanitary state and ideal maturation. In the Adega winemaking was idealized "own" for this product, different from what was customary in other companies in the region. The Favaios 10 Anos is a lot wine in which only the best Moscatel harvests are used for its constitution. In the years when nature allows conditions for the caste Moscatel express itself in all its splendor are made some fermentations with a careful selection of grapes. The fermentation takes about three days with intense skin maceration and temperature controlled to 15-16 ° C. The wine spirit is then added to the grapes and must stopped fermenting in order to obtain a wine with high alcohol content and residual sugar. Maceration has already in the presence of brandy it is kept for another 5-6 days always at low temperature. After pressing, the wine begins an aging process in wooden ferries for several years, improving the integration of the brandy with the wine and improving its bouquet. In Favaios 10 Years, the most typical aromas of the Moscatel variety are felt like the orange peel and the floral ones like the color of orange, linden and roses.
