Moscatel Horácio Simões Roxo

This Moscatel Roxo is the result of intense work distributed between the vineyard and the winery. The vineyard was accompanied and spoiled all the time so that the yields did not exceed 2500 liters / ha and the grapes arrived at the winery in the sanitary state and ideal maturation. In the Adega winemaking was idealized “own” for this product, different from what was customary in other companies in the region. It consists of an intense selection of bunches followed by a pre-fermentative maceration for 5 days, after which the fermentation is allowed to start very slowly homogeneously throughout the vat reaching 3/4 of the fermentation in 3 days, benefiting this wine with the best wine spirits available in the market selected by the technicians of the company, followed by a post-fermentative maceration of 5 long months. The final stage is made in barrels of 225 liters of French Oak (used 2 to 3 Wines), where it is to concentrate. For this wine were selected the best barrels. It has a dark topaz color, floral aroma and spices. Round, very soft and fresh flavor with very long finish. Contains sulfites.

Grapes from several quality vineyards in the Arco da Calheta and Prazeres area. Grapes pressed in a pneumatic press. Interruption of fermentation through the addition of vinous alcohol (96%). Boal aged in Canteiro for 5 years in French oak casks. For this batch, we selected wines from our warehouses, whose stable temperatures throughout the year gave rise to this wine with balanced levels of sugar and acidity. Honey color. Aromas of dried fruits, floral, honey and yellow fruit compote. Palate with a light toast, medium and soft body, with a fresh finish and some spice. Contains sulfites.
H.M.Borges Verdelho 15 Anos
100% Verdelho, from Ribeira da Janela, from different years of harvest and with an average age of 15 years. Vinification of open spouts with fermentation and temperature control. Aging in 650 liter oak barrels. Amber color with golden nuance and orange reflections. Citrus aroma and intense and complex, ethereal wood bouquet, with iodized notes, dried fruits and spice. In the mouth it is medium-dry, with acidity and a well-structured body, with balanced sweetness and firm tannins. Notes of honey, toast, nuts and some spice. Contains sulfites.
H.M.Borges Sercial 15 Anos
Exclusively Sercial from different years of harvest and with an average age of 15 years. Vinification of open spouts with fermentation and temperature control. Aging in 650 liter oak barrels. Light amber color with golden highlights. Woody and refreshing aroma characteristic of this variety. Notes of orange iodine, nuts and toast. In the mouth it is well structured and has a complex aromatic concentration. Wooden notes, with firm tannins that, combined with the dry characteristics of the grape, transmit different tastes, predominating the dry fruits. Contains sulfites.
Barbeito Boal Reserva Velha 10 Anos
Grapes from several quality vineyards in the Campanário, Estreito da Calheta and Prazeres area. Grapes pressed in continuous press. Interruption of fermentation through the addition of vinous alcohol (96%). Boal aged in Canteiro for 10 years in French oak casks. For this batch, we selected wines from our warehouses, whose stable temperatures throughout the year gave rise to this wine with balanced levels of sugar and acidity. Bright golden color. Fragrant notes, with nuts, caramel, iodized touch, figs, and well-integrated wood. Soft and luscious palate, flavors of caramelized nuts. Excellent acidity in the spicy and fresh finish. Contains sulfites.
Blandy’s Malmsey Rich 10 Anos
Blandy's Malmsey 10 years ferment with natural yeasts at a temperature of 18 to 21ºC in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature. Approximately after 48 hours, the fortification is carried out with wine alcohol (96%), in order to preserve the desired natural sugar content. It is aged for 10 years in American oak casks according to the traditional 'Canteiro' process. This includes a delicate heating of the wine in the attic of the warehouses in Funchal. Over the years, the wine is transferred from the upper floors to the intermediate floors, and eventually to the floor level where it is cooler. After this 'gradual stuffing', the wine is filtered and clarified before being bottled. Intense golden brown color, with almost greenish reflections. Intense and complex nose, revealing a bouquet of wood, dried fruits, caramel and spices. Sweet, fresh and soft, full-bodied and slightly smoked. Very balanced acidity. Contains sulfites.
