Present exclusively in the old vineyards of Serra da Estrela, and famous for its high levels of acidity, this variety was usually planted at the entrance of the vineyards – definitely not the best grape to eat. Its name says it all: Uva-Cão, the “grape that guards the vine”. To the most curious and the most sensitive, a warning – the acidity of this wine is remarkable! Vinification in a cement vat, with aging in 500 Lts used barrels. Citrine color, aroma of enormous freshness and elegant, delicate mouth and great complexity. Long aftertaste. Contains sulfites.

Casa da Passarella Vindima de 2009 Red

It is a historic wine because it is the first edition of the top range of Casa da Passarella. A reference that will only be launched to the market in exceptional years. The grapes were partially destemmed and fermented in cement tanks with temperature control. The wine aged for 18 months in used barrels with more than six years of use. Ruby color, intense nose and long finish. Contains sulfites.

Casa da Passarella O Enólogo – Vinhas Velhas Magnum Red

From a single vineyard with 80 years is born the wine of Dão Casa da Passarella O Énologo – Vinhas Velhas, so it is through him that we intend to assume the unique terroir of that plot. The old vine is a set of vines of about 24 different vine varieties (including some white varieties, as was absolutely normal at the time), which, over the course of almost a century, naturally adapted to that parcel in perfect harmony. Harvesting is manual and made only once, with fermentation of the entire blend of grapes made in a traditional cement tank. Fruit of the natural balance given by the vineyard, the fermentation takes place spontaneously, without any necessity of correction of the must. So we take our terroir – with a minimalist wine in our cellar. Contains Sulfites.

Casa da Passarella The Fugitive Curtimenta Branco. A concept for wines that happen. For unique conditions in unique years. For a constant concern, a challenge to all standards. They could be called “collection wines”, but they are mostly wines to be found. And above all, discovered. Total tanning process with spontaneous alcoholic fermentation, total space in direct skin contact for 1 month. Aging for 1 year in used 600 Lts barrels. It presents a citrus color, white fruit aroma with mineral notes. Complex balsamic notes with some citrus and honey. Long and persistent aftertaste. Contains sulfites.

Grafting is born from the heterogeneity of the concept, since every year is different in edaphoclimatic conditions. From this differentiation, a wine was created based on the best behavior of the grape variety in the wine year. Contains Sulfites.

Casa da Passarella O Fugitivo Tinta Pinheira Red

A new return to our deepest roots: the ancestral vinification of grape varieties present in the historic lots of old vineyards. Differentiating character, famous for its aromatic delicacy and structure, but also for the history that Tinta Pinheira caste writes in the past of Casa da Passarella. Traditional wine making in a mill with partial stalks, aged for 6 months in cement vats. Vivid color, with aromas of red fruits and vegetable. Elegant, delicate mouth and great complexity. Long aftertaste. Contains sulfites.

Casa da Passarella A Descoberta White

The mystery of the box found inside one of the walls of Casa da Passarella is finally solved. The story begins in 1942, when a box is hidden in one of the rooms of Casa da Passarella, containing a handwritten document with instructions to be opened 50 years later. The document also contained a last will: that all the values
stored in the box should be distributed ny the poor. The truth is that neither of these things happened. Only in 2010, when the Gouse suffered works, the box was found and opened. And there was nothing inside. The investigations went forward, without ever having unraveled the mystery. When resignation seemed to overcome persistence, a specialist in the unusual was called to the scene: ” the box was indeed replete,” explained Professor K.Noronha, “but not tangible, material things, an extraordinary essence that, reacting with the times to come, would bring happiness through wine to all who made art and profit. “Now, these times are already part of the present, and this is a double discovery”. From the Dão region, Casa da Passarella A Descoberta White Wine has a rosemary aroma, saved with citrus fruits. A wine of great elegance with firm freshness. Contains Sulfites.

Casa da Passarella O Fugitivo Colheita Tardia White

Blend of the Encruzado, Malvasia-Fina and Verdelho grape varieties, where fermentation took place very slowly during the rigorous winter months in French oak barrels, the fermentation stop occurred in a natural way, leaving about 25 grams of sugar remaining. This was followed by clean passage, remaining in a barrel for about 9 months. Citric color, with aroma of citrus fruit and taste of great elegance with a firm freshness. Long aftertaste. Casa da Passarella Enxertia Alfrocheiro Red

From Dão, Casa da Passarella Enxertia Alfrocheiro arises from the heterogeneity of our encepting. Every year they are different in the soil-climatic conditions. From this differentiation we decided to create a wine based on the best behavior of the grape variety in the wine year. Based on this philosophy, we feel free to choose the best reflected caste each year. We inaugurated this reference with the Alfrocheiro of the year 2011. The fermentation took place in a vat of spontaneous fermentation. Stage of 12 months in barrel and 18 months in bottle. The whole process of stabilization resulted from minimalist and natural processes. Contains Sulfites.

Full-bodied, fresh and elegant with a long and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.
