Vinha do Mouro Red
9,29 €
Discover the Vinha do Mouro Red, a distinguished wine from the vineyards of Estremoz, located at an altitude of 450 meters, benefiting from a continental Mediterranean climate with significant thermal amplitude during the maturation period. This climatic context contributes to the uniqueness and quality of this wine.
The grapes are handpicked in small 20 kg boxes. After total destemming, the grapes are foot-trodden in traditional lagares for three days with cold pre-fermentative maceration. Fermentation follows in stainless steel vats with controlled temperatures between 24-26ºC and pressing in wooden baskets with a vertical hydraulic press. About 15% of the blend matures for 12 months in new Portuguese oak barrels, giving it a unique structure.
Vinha do Mouro Red displays a medium intensity ruby color and offers an aromatic complexity that blends fresh red and black fruits with notes of spices and a slight vegetal touch. On the palate, it features a well-balanced structure, fine fruit, light and elegant tannins, and well-integrated acidity that ensures a vibrant and persistent finish. Ideal for pairing with rich and varied dishes, it should be served at a temperature of 16-18ºC.
Monte da Raposinha Reserve White
12,94 €
The grapes were harvested manually, gently de-stemmed and pressed after careful sorting in the cellar. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats and used 400L and 500L oak barrels. Aging with fine lees and bâtonnage. Elegant orange and lemon peel, white flowers and peach aromas. The presence of barrel aging is discreet. In the mouth it is creamy, with crisp acidity and minerality giving a long finish.
Menin Reserve White
19,99 €
After manual harvesting, the grapes are transported in boxes of 18 kg capacity so as not to harm the integrity of the bunch. Once at the cellar, the boxes are unloaded onto a sorting mat for the first sorting of the grapes. This was followed by destemming, choosing berry by berry and crushing them, which are transported by gravity to a pneumatic press. After clarifying the must, alcoholic fermentation began in oak barrels at low temperatures of around 16ºC, in order to preserve all the varietal character of each variety. The alcoholic fermentation took place for approximately 20 days, where later the different components staged for 8 months with periodic bâtonnage. Menin Reserve White is a wine with a citrus yellow color and medium intensity. In terms of aroma, it is very elegant, highlighting the floral notes of white flowers, white pulp fruit (pear), green grapefruit and barrel spices reminiscent of brioche and white pepper. In the mouth, it is elegant, fresh and persistent.
José de Sousa Puro Talha White
30,43 €
At the José de Sousa winery, some ancestral winemaking techniques are still used, the most emblematic being the use of the mulch in the fermentation of the grapes. The essence of woodcarving winemaking has changed little in more than two thousand years. In this process, the white grapes are slightly crushed by foot and manually destemmed on a ripanço table. Fermentation takes place, without stems, in pots with an average capacity of 1,600 liters at a temperature of around 28ºC, being controlled by watering the pots 4 times a day. Fermentation takes approximately 8 days, leaving the wine in contact with the masses. Aged in amphorae for a period of 4 to 10 months, depending on the vintage. During this period, a film of oil is placed to prevent oxidation. Amber color, aroma of dried fruits, especially hazelnut. Spices, evolved, white pepper, ripe kiwi, bread, liqueur, hay. Elegant, complex palate, good acidity with a dry finish. Long and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.
