Quinta do Fojo, located on the picturesque left bank of the Pinhão Valley, is the birthplace of the exceptional Quinta do Fojo Red 2017. This wine is produced exclusively from the property's vineyards, which extend over 4 hectares planted in 1986, with a mix of grape varieties where Tinta Roriz predominates.
The Mediterranean climate, combined with the schist soil and the altitude between 250m and 370m, provides the ideal conditions for the production of superior quality wine. Vinification is carried out in fermentation vats, followed by a 19-month aging period in large French oak vats, giving Quinta do Fojo Red 2017 a unique complexity and elegance.

Grapes from 23-year-old vines. Manual harvest and selective choice for 20 kg boxes. Second selection of grapes at the sorting table. Crushing with total destemming. Must obtained by the open spout process with very light pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 16ºC, for a period of 22 days.
