On the plateau of Alijó, Samarrinho benefits from a cool climate which gives it a very interesting aromatic profile and a lot of acidity. However, it is in the warmer years of the Douro that Samarrinho presents the best wines, proving to be a very Douro variety! After being pressed in a pneumatic press, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats without skin contact. The aging takes place over a period of 6 months, thus preserving all the freshness and varietal character of this fantastic grape variety. A great and very fresh white Douro that at first impression has slight nuances of minerals, followed by charming notes of white fruit. A very harmonious wine, showing itself intense and delicate at the same time with a lot of freshness and excellent volume of tasting and with surprising minerality. It has a medium body and a voluminous final finish, showing very peculiar characteristics. A wine with enormous potential for bottle aging. Contains Sulfites.
Carvalhas Tinta Francisca Red
A very original wine with an intense and fresh aroma where the notes of fruits of the forest and slight vegetal impressions are emphasized, creating a remarkable complexity. Intense of flavors, with a lot of presence, however it shows itself extremely elegant and ends with a long and fresh finish and very soft. Contains Sulfites.
Quinta de CIdrô Rufete Red
The Rufete variety reveals nobility for its ability to produce exotic reds with great potential for evolution in the bottle. A round wine with soft tannins, full bodied but at the same time elegant, with aromas of black and red fruit. The wines of caste Rufete are light in comparison to the typical Douros, however, they demonstrate a unique personality ending with a very long end of mouth. The low temperature makes it very versatile service, aiding all its aromatic exposure. Contains Sulfites.
Carvalhas White
A clean, clear white of bright citrus color that shows all its splendor through very fine and delicate but very intense aromas with notes of fruit with nuances of vanilla and toast from the stage in wood. Although full bodied on the palate, it causes a feeling of lightness due to its freshness of tastes and lively acidity, ending with a very clean and refreshing persistence. Contains Sulfites.
Quinta de CIdrô Touriga Nacional Red
This Touriga Nacional is a complex wine with great varietal character, aromas of red fruits and accentuated floral notes. Although intense and expressive, it reveals a fresh and elegant wine, which gives immense satisfaction while young and vibrant, without ceasing to surprise those who choose to wait for the evolution in a bottle. Quinta de CIdrô Gewurztraminer White
It is an extremely original wine that escapes to styles and conventions. It is an excellent demonstration of the Douro's vincadÃssimo character, where even a caste as striking as the Gewurztraminer is completely transformed by our region. We try to make a wine where the characteristics of the caste in terms of aroma and taste are very evident, but at the same time maintaining the character of the white wines of the Douro, our structure, minerality and acidity. It is therefore an extremely aromatic wine with aromas of Lychia and Rosa (so typical of this variety) very evident, but unlike the usual, dry, austere and with beautiful acidity. Contains Sulfites.

This clean, bright wine of deep ruby color was designed as an original batch of Cabernet Sauvignon and Touriga Nacional. Result of its stage in oak barrels, the wine demonstrates intensity and complexity, at the same time finesse and elegance. Balanced by an excellent structure, it is full-bodied, and the aromas of black fruit, vanilla, tobacco and chocolate reveal an enormous potential for evolution in the bottle. Contains Sulfites.
