Pacheca Porto Tawny 20 Years is a wine resulting from a batch of several Port Wines that aged in oak casks over many years in the cool warehouse at Quinta da Pacheca. During the aging of the wine it acquires its characteristic amber-brownish color. It presents itself with an elegant nose, combining aromas of dried fruits and complex notes of chocolate, buttery caramel and fine oak wood .

Harvested by hand at their optimum, the grapes are de-stemmed, crushed and vinified according to a process that is based on a careful maceration with color extraction, tannins and flavors of the films, complemented by permanent reruns during fermentation. This takes place in mills, at a controlled temperature between 28-30ºC, until reaching the desired Baumé degree. At this stage, wine spirits (benefit) are added, giving rise to a fortified wine. High quality wine, obtained by stocking wines from harvests of several years, in order to acquire a complementarity of organoleptic characteristics typical of this old tawny style. The 20 Years Tawny Cauldron is a wine that reflects the art of the lot, and results from the careful combination of aged wines in oak casks, with an average age of 20 years. Brown color with greenish reflections. Concentrated nose, voluptuous, where the woody aromas predominate, notes of honey and delicate nuances of spices. On the palate it is magnificently structured, with firm and polished tannins. Soft, sweet texture with excellent persistence and a very spicy finish. Contains sulfites.

Every year a small number of our best ports - of LBV quality and above - are stored in oak barrels. With an average age of 10 years, it is from the mixture of these stocks that the Quinta de la Rosa Tawny 10 Years (or Tonel 12) is born. At Quinta de La Rosa, Port wines are stored and bottled in the Douro and not in Vila Nova de Gaia, as is the case in most Houses, allowing a singular trait from picking the grape to the bottle wine. It is a rich and elegant mix with wonderful aromas that exude from the Douro. The palate is complex; reveals aromas of nuts, figs, honey and almonds and a nice and pleasant length. The wines of the Port of Quinta de la Rosa follow the traditional style: fermented with foot steps in granite wineries and stagiados in old barrels and barrels (oak barrels of 550 liters) of old wood. The white grapes undergo a long maceration with the skins and are trodden by foot. After the addition of wine spirit, the White Port spends a year in large oak vats, followed by aging in traditional oak barrels for a period of time that varies between 7 and 15 years. Before bottling, a selection of the best White Ports was made and the resulting wines were blended. This operation resulted in this 10 Years White Porto! Golden in color, it shows a complex aroma of dried fruits, where orange peel and dried figs stand out, as well as walnuts and toasted almonds. A floral touch completes the nose. In the mouth it is very fine and balanced, with a vibrant acidity to balance its sweet character, interacting perfectly with the brandy and giving the wine a superb structure. Contains sulfites.
