Moscatel Bacalhôa Superior 40 Year Old
384,49 €
Discover the Moscatel Bacalhôa Superior 40 Year Old, a true winemaking masterpiece, born from Moscatel de Setúbal grapes from the prestigious Serra da Ursa vineyard, at the foot of the Arrábida mountain range. This exceptional "terroir" is the birthplace of the most renowned fortified wines in DO Setúbal.
After a careful harvest at the end of October 1983 and winemaking that follows the most authentic traditional practices, 40 years later, this unique wine was bottled in a very limited edition of just 200 0.5L bottles. This extraordinary harvest is reserved for equally special future moments.
The aging process of this Moscatel took place in a unique warehouse, under conditions of high natural temperature ranges, favoring an aromatic complexity and incomparable flavors. With an intense amber color, adorned by golden and greenish reflections, it reveals aromas of bitter orange jam, marmalade, tea, dates, fig in syrup, hazelnut and honey.
This Moscatel surprises with its remarkable balance between sweetness, acidity and bitter notes, providing a refreshing and captivating sensation on the palate. With a smooth texture and long finish, this wine is unique. Ideal to be enjoyed at 16-18ºC, at the end of a meal, pairing perfectly with intense cheeses, chocolate and bitter orange desserts, or even with and after coffee.
Moscatel Roxo Horácio Simões Heritage
21,89 €
Moscatel Roxo Horácio Simões Heritage is a true jewel of the Setúbal region, an area with a marked tradition in the production of dessert wines since 1907. Casa Agrícola Horácio Simões, established in 1910, has always stood out for its dedication to innovation and the rescue of precious grape varieties, such as this Moscatel Roxo, once considered extinct in the region, but now reborn as an exceptional nectar.
With a dark topaz color, this Muscat has an intense aroma, where floral and spicy notes stand out, marked by its sublime evolution. On the palate, it is round, extremely soft and fresh, providing an incomparable taste experience. The aftertaste is long and memorable, making this wine the ideal accompaniment to a wide range of desserts, enhancing the flavors when served at the perfect temperature of 18ºC. Moscatel Roxo Horácio Simões Heritage is more than a dessert wine; is a celebration of the history, terroir and passion for viticulture of the Setúbal region.
Moscatel Favaios Commemorative Edition 70 Years
198,68 €
Moscatel 70 Years from Adega Cooperativa de Favaios, created from the best seven harvests since its foundation, one per decade (1964, 1975, 1980, 1999, 2007, 2011 and 2020), is a hymn to the art of blending wines and also to the true muscat of the Douro. The Moscatel Galego variety, unlike the Moscatel de Setúbal, found in the freshness of the altitude (between 550 and 600 meters) and in the fertile soils of the Favaios-Alijó plateau the perfect place to express all its aromatic richness and acidic freshness. Unlike other fortified wines, the great Muscat wines, the most durable, are often born from grapes tending to be green rather than ripe. A sublimation of some fresh lychee, dried fruit, candied orange, honey, glycerine, spices and life-giving acidity. All in a harmonious dose, far from the syrupy muscat profile, too sweet and concentrated, and the thin and uncomplex muscat type. It's so good that, even when the glass is emptied, there's a delicious perfume left that makes you want to sip.
