The aging process intensifies the creation of fruit, the complex flavors characteristic of Tawny Port. A perfect Port to end any meal and an inspiration for a good conversation. An intense and intensely flavored 40 Years Old Tawny Port, with a huge bouquet suggesting vanilla, oak and honey, and a mouthful of very complex flavors of dried fruits, spices and nuts. While the wine gently unfolds and develops in the mouth, a superb balance of aging in wood and vivacity, characteristic of Sandeman Tawny Ports, is discovered. Sandeman Porto Tawny 40 Years Old is produced using the traditional Port Wine method. The hand-picked grapes are subjected to stem removal and crushing before fermentation, temperature, with maceration of the skin, in order to extract the best components. The addition of wine to the alcohol at the ideal moment establishes the balance between the body of the wine and the bouquet. This moment is chosen by the winemaker after strict control of the fermentation temperatures and densities, the second depends on the variety of vine, the maturation stage and the required final sweetness. The bottle must be kept upright, protected from light and humidity, at a constant temperature of 16ºC-18ºC .

Wine fermented with partial destemming at a controlled temperature (24-28ºC) when the must reaches the desired sweetness value, fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy (77%). A very high quality wine obtained by blending different wines from different harvests, reaching the age indicated on the label, having these aged in oak wood until they are bottled in the warehouses in Vila Nova de Gaia. Light golden wine with greenish hints. Wine with a complex and intense aroma, with several layers, where notes of honey, spices and a chemical touch appear. In the mouth it has the same complexity with a vibrant acidity and a very prolonged finish.

Vista Alegre 20 Year Old White
Vinification according to the traditional Port Wine method. After gentle crushing with partial stemming, alcoholic fermentation with skin maceration follows. Fermentation takes place under controlled temperature and is stopped by the addition of wine spirit. The entire winemaking process, which is monitored by the oenology team, takes into account the grape varieties, their degree of maturation and the desired sweetness. This wine is the result of a mixture of selected white wines, a unique style, with an average aging in oak casks of 20 years. It goes very well with foie-gras as well as rich and intense cheeses. Pleasant accompaniment to sweet desserts. As Port Wine is a natural product, it is likely to create deposits. Therefore, care must be taken when serving to avoid cloudiness. It should be served at a temperature between 10ºC and 12º C. Bottle standing at a constant temperature and protected from intense light. After opening, consume, preferably, within 18 to 20 weeks.
