Amálias 100, a 2020 red wine in celebration of Amália Rodrigues' centenary, stands out for its complexity and elegance.
Created by seven Portuguese producers, it brings together emblematic grape varieties from different regions. With 18 months of aging in barrels, the merger of the batches results in 1920 Magnum bottles.
In addition to honoring Amália, this wine contributes to the Foundation bearing her name, benefiting institutions such as Casa do Artista and the restoration of Amália's house, thus preserving her legacy. Aged for 4 months in used French oak barrels. A wine concentrated and deep in the aroma, with a floral edge of great intensity, forest, pine forest and wild berries. Dense mouth with good structure, with present and appealing tannins with discreet vanilla finish. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel with temperature control at 27°C, with grapes that had been destemmed.

Reception with destemming and immediate crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats of 18 tons capacity, with tanning at around 26ºC. Intense and prolonged macerations and partial malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Stage for 10 months in new and used French oak barrels. The stage begins to obtain a wine of great aromatic elegance, where the aromas of the Douro are not masked by the excess of barrel notes. Very smooth and well-ripened tannins, fresh and aromatic, very elegant, with an unusually long finish.

Selection of grapes when cut and transported in boxes directly to the winery. Vinification with crushing and total destemming. Fermentation in an open press with controlled temperature. Produced from a rigorous selection of grapes from the best vineyards in this Duriense region. This wine has a charming and immediately seductive aroma, with black fruit, exotic woods, sweet spices and toasted cocoa. Creamy, textured, deep, with fine tannins, perfect acidity, austere and long finish, a full Douro.
