Niepoort Redoma Red
The grapes, with 100% of stems, were deposited in stainless steel presses with automatic crushers, in a process with short maceration. After this phase, the wine started its malolactic fermentation in old wooden barrels, remaining in stage for about 22 months. Redoma Red reflects all the elegance, structure and acidity that only a region with the breadth of the Douro can express. The color is ruby, concentrated and when it is shaken in the glass, violet hints appear. The nose is delicate, with floral notes, of red fruits such as cherry, menthol nuances and a smoke that gives it complexity and character. In the mouth it has volume, it is round and spicy, precise and extremely balanced. It ends long and with an acidity that persists and gives it longevity. Contains sulfites.
Vertente Red
The harvest began in August and last until the end of September. After a rigorous selection in the vineyards. a second selection was made in the table of choice. The Vertente was vinified in frustoconical vats of stainless steel. It aged for 22 months in French oak barrels where the malolactic fermentation took place. Beautiful violet color with good concentration. Aroma expressive, with a profile marked by mineral notes, black chocolate and wild berries. The wood is well-matched, with smoky notes and spices. Tense, deep and with good structure, it is slim and elegant in the mouth. The tannins are very well integrated, with balanced acidity and a long finish. Contains Sulfites.
Niepoort Diálogo White
After a refrigerated transport to Quinta de Nápoles, the grapes enter the cellar, where a full selection is made on a table of choice, and are pressed in an automatic press. After cold static decanting, the musts are cleaned in stainless steel vats, spontaneously fermenting at a controlled temperature. They age in their fine lees for 6 months, without lifting them. The White Dialogue is a good example of the Niepoort profile, austere and very mineral. A fresh white, with herbaceous and citrus notes on the nose, young but showing all its aging potential, very fine and elegant, with an electric aftertaste that makes you want to repeat. The Redoma Reserva White shows a light citrus and crystalline color. The fresh and mineral profile reveals the fantastic terroir where the vines are inserted. Complex and very captivating, it features notes of white fruit as well as white flowers and an orange blossom fragrance. The barrel notes are very well integrated, giving complexity and depth to the aroma, but without regret. In the mouth it is tense, with good volume of glass. The freshness, citric acidity and strong minerality provide lightness and elegance for the structure it presents. Dry and austere, it is a white that will benefit greatly in the basement. The Redoma maintains the profile of a typical white of the Douro, fresh and mineral character. Aroma complex and intense, with citrus and floral notes, resembling orange blossom. The barrel is present but delicately, in perfect harmony with the fresh and mineral side. In the mouth, the wine is more elegant than the previous harvest, with a very balanced, firm and persistent acidity. Pêra-Manca White produced from a selection of the varieties Antão Vaz and Arinto planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. When the grapes reach the ideal stage of maturation, they are harvested and transported to the winery, where the technological process begins: total destemming and slight crushing, pressing, cooling and clarification of the must. One part of the batch is fermented in a stainless steel tank, fermented elsewhere in French oak barrels, at a controlled temperature of 16ºC. After the fermentation, a stage is followed, on fine lees with periodic batonnage, during 12 months.
