The grapes from the vindima dos nossos associados are unloaded and immediately disengaged and drained. With the addition of selected yeasts, fermentation begins at a controlled temperature (15°C) which lasts approximately 12 days. At the 2nd fermentation by the «Traditional Method» decorated in a bottle for 3 months, later the wine reaches a stage of 10 years at the “dégorgement”. A clear-looking wine with a fine and persistent ball, with a defined color, aroma of dried fruits and a wrapper in citrus and floral notes with a great complexity, volume and persistence in the mouth. Dez Tostões Red
At 13 o'clock on January 19, 1919, the blue and white flag was unfurled, in a revolutionary act of reinstatement of the monarchy, previously abolished in 1910. Created for its restoration, the Tostões currency would make succession to the Kings. The duration of this regime was only 2 months once the revolution failed and the republic was reimplanted on February 23, 1919. A magnificent blend of the vineyards Alicante Bouschet, Aragonês, Touriga Nacional and Syrah. It is a balanced, full-bodied and persistent wine with a strong expressive character.

Adega de Borba Reserva Magnum Red
With grapes from the most typical Alentejo grape varieties produced in the sub-region of Borba, the label Cortiça wine was produced, a true ex-libris from the Adega de Borba. Coming from old vines, the grapes had a strict control in the evolution of the maturation, having been harvested in small quantities. In the Cellar, after the destemming and soft crushing of the grape, the alcoholic fermentation began, which lasted for about 10-15 days with the temperature controlled at 24ºC, for greater extraction of the aromas and fruity flavors of the grape. In order to increase the polyphenolic complexity, the tannins and the structure of the wine, it remained in the vat in a post-fermentative maceration process. The malolactic fermentation occurred later in stainless steel containers. To enhance and elevate its organoleptic characteristics, the wine aged 12 months in 3rd and 4th year barrels, French oak and exotic wood barrels. followed by a six-month bottling stage in the basement. Aroma fine and elegant, suggesting black fruits, compote and white chocolate.

Adega de Borba Reserva White
The white grape varieties recently introduced in the Alentejo wine estates demonstrate in this wine their oenological characteristics to produce quality wine in the region of Borba. The grapes coming from vineyards with moderate productivity allow to obtain a fresh, balanced and structured wine. Harvest was performed manually and in the morning so that the temperature of the grape at the entrance to the cellar is optimum. The grapes were transported in small quantities. After crushing and total destemming of the grapes, a slight skin maceration followed by pressing, decanting by the system of cold for 24 hours and alcoholic fermentation, 30% of the wine in French and American oak barrels, with strict temperature control at 15 ° C. Full, intense aroma of ripe tropical fruits and vanilla. Flavor velvety, with structure and freshness, citrus fruits and light spicy honey to predominate. Wine harmonious, long and of great balance. Bojador Reserva White
Manual harvest. In the cellar, the grapes were selected on a vibrating selection table, with total destemming and light crushing of the berry. Fermentation took place in 500L French oak barrels. Golden color, nose of evident minerality, which denounces the terroir that gave rise to it. Discreet barrel that surrounds the ensemble. Good volume in the mouth and remarkable freshness. Contains sulfites.
Bojador White
In the cellar, the grapes were selected on the carpet of choice, with total destemming and light crushing of the berry. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats at low temperatures, in order to preserve varietal aromas for 23 days. Aged in the bottle for a period of three months. Golden green color, exuberant aroma of tropical fruits and palate rich in fruit and with good freshness. Contains sulfites.
Blog Alicante Bouschet e Syrah 3L Red
In 2015 we enjoyed long and slow maturations that our older strains and our best plots have taken advantage of to provide grapes with an exemplary balance between acidity and tannins. The two grape varieties that benefited most with the exceptional goodness of nature were Syrah and Alicante Bouschet, providing grapes in perfect maturity. With raw material so good we prefer to work them little, letting the grapes speak for themselves. That's why we did little more than one walk on our wineries, according to the most traditional methods of the region, followed by a stage in new barrels and barrels of second year of French oak, letting the wine express itself in the purest form . Very fleshy red color. Tense and closed, concentrated and powerful, floral and fruity, it ends with some earthy notes that add complexity. Silky and velvety in texture, it is an intense and structured red, vigorous but not aggressive, complex and elegant, fresh finish and great guarding potential. Contains Sulfites.
Adega de Borba Grande Reserva Red
Manual harvest, degummed and fermented grapes with thermal control in a small volume stainless steel mill with a moderate mechanical step. Malolactic fermentation in new barrels selected from French oak in an air-conditioned environment, followed by a stage in new barrels for wine-wood integration, 18 months. After a gentle filtration, the wine was bottled and rested for thinning for 12 months in the basement. This wine was made from grapes from the oldest vineyards in the region of Borba, with two of the most emblematic and representative grape varieties of the region, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet, settled in shale soils. Color grenade with red nuance. Good aromatic intensity, with emphasis on forest fruits, chocolate, tobacco and toast. Flavor soft, with freshness, texture of strong tannins and oily to black fruits and spices. Silky, prolonged and persistent finish of great elegance. Contains Sulfites.
Adega de Borba Garrafeira Red
The grapes were crushed gently with total destemming, which was followed by the alcoholic fermentation process in a stainless steel mill, with moderate mechanical treading, ending in maceration for 10 days, under temperature control at 24ºC. The wine aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. After light filtration, bottling took place and a final stage in a 30-month cellar in the bottle. Deep garnet color, good aromatic intensity to very ripe black fruits, cocoa and toasted nuts. A soft flavor with silky tannins of raisin fruit and wild berry, full-bodied but with a long-lasting freshness. Contains sulfites.
Herdade dos Grous Magnum Red
The grapes selected by hand, after the removal of the respective film, are cooled by a thermal shock of 10 ° C. After a cold maceration for two days, the wine ferments in small steel tanks. The ripening is carried out in French wooden barrels. Deep live garnet color. Aroma complex of mature fruit and mint. Taste rich in fruit, concentrated, prolonged end. Contains Sulfites.
Monte da Ravasqueira Reserva White
Citrus color, bright, greenish straw. Nose with ripe fruit, light passion fruit and Viognier mango. Notes of lime and wafer maria with light smoked and ripe pineapple. In the test, it has a fresh and mineral attack, full of spicy texture, but always with the same varietal sensation that it feels in the nose, conveying elegance, balance and fulfillment during all the test, end tostado and floral. Dense red and deep violet color. Nose of great elegance and complexity with notes of black fruit, integrated wood and spices. In the test, the same profile of elegance and greetings with fine, long and chewy tannins is revealed. Monte da Ravasqueira White
In the test, it has a fresh attak, vibrant, with texture and especially with a lot of mineral character referring us to the granite influence of the vine of Monte da Ravasqueira. Monte da Ravasqueira Nero D’Avola Red
Nero d'Avola is one of the most important castes in Italy. Originally from southern Sicily, it arrived at Monte da Ravasqueira by the hand of its founder José Manuel de Mello in the incessant search of the indifferent exploration of the terroir and the production of atypical and challenging wines. In the harvest of 2012 this wish was interpreted, giving rise to a unique and rare wine in Portugal that maintains the original characteristics but which expresses well the unique freshness and mineral character of our grapes.
100% Nero d'Avola, Ravasqueira Nero d'Avola 2012 wine proved to be precocious and fast maturing. Acidity, aromatic intensity and density of tannins are the adjectives that best characterize this year's grapes. Manually harvested and subject to a lowering of the temperature before vinification.
Incarnate color alive and intense. Nose complex, closed in need of decanting. Slight notes of eucalyptus, varied peppers, floral and with intense notes of cherry. The test is full and elegant. High density of fine tannins in balance with mineral acidity, fleshy and light vegetable. Contains Sulfites.
Monte da Ravasqueira Viognier White
Straw green color very light, with bright lemon tones. Intense nose of apricot, white chocolate and apricot. Profile of great intensity, mineral, spicy and complex with notes of phosphorus head and light gunpowder. In the proof it is voluminous and textured, mineral and with predominance of notes of pineapple, mandarin and light mint. A wine to prove already, but with great guarding potential. Monte da Ravasqueira Sauvignon Blanc White
Color greenish, clear and shiny. Very clean, exotic and intense nose showing all the expressiveness of the breed. Notes of tropical fruit, sliced turf, asparagus, lime and some candied fruit. In the proof it has vibrant and vigorous freshness, balanced by the volume of the fruit. The sense of proof constantly sends us to the nose feeling all the freshness and complexity of the caste with mineral and long finish. Contains Sulfites.
Monte da Cal Segredo de Saturno Red
Crushing with total destemming, prolonged and smooth skin maceration, alcoholic fermentation at 26ºC, with cuvasion until malolactic completion. Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels, 50% new and 50% second-use. The best 30 of 70 barrels were selected. 48 months of bottle aging. Intense garnet color with slight violet tones. Intense aroma with distinct complexity and a mix of fruity and tertiary notes. In the mouth it is fruity, soft, well structured, harmonious and with a distinct persistence. Contains sulfites.
Esporão Private Selection White
Fermentation takes place in new 550 liter French oak barrels in a temperature-controlled cellar at 18ºC. About 6 months in French oak barrels, on the lees of fermentation accompanied by batonnage, to provide the integration between the wood and the wine, increasing its creaminess and depth. After filling, it remained in the bottle for 6 months, during which it had a controlled maturation that promoted the characteristic complexity of this wine. It presents a straw color with greenish tinges. Aromas of white plum and ripe lemon, fresh almond, spices and white chocolate. Rich and intense palate, where white flesh fruit stands out, complemented with white pepper and nutmeg. Intense, with an elegant and persistent finish. Contains sulfites.
Adega Mayor Touriga Nacional Red
After manual harvesting and a careful selection of bunches, the destemmed grapes were fermented at a controlled temperature in a 5000 L French oak vat. It was aged for another 12 months in new and used French oak barrels. After bottling, it rested in the bottle until its release. Wine of intense color and red tone. Typical aromatic profile, with floral delicacy that goes beyond violet and blends with sweet hints of forest fruits. Light spice from the aging barrel. In the mouth, we have dimension and structure in harmony with polished and educated tannins, which remind us of a harmonious and fresh finish. Contains sulfites.
Adega Mayor Arinto White
After manual harvesting, the grapes were quickly sent to the cellar, where they were destemmed and gently pressed. The must, clarified by the cold, fermented slowly for approximately 2 weeks in stainless steel vats, with controlled temperature. With a lemon yellow color and a bright appearance, this is an aromatically discreet wine, of medium intensity, which privileges the notes of green apple, lime and a vegetal character balanced by a pungent minerality. In the mouth it is “full” and vibrant. The finish is persistent and pleasantly confirms the mineral character of the nose. Contains sulfites.
Adega Mayor Antão Vaz White
Coming from selected vineyard plots, the grapes were harvested manually into 15 kg boxes. Upon arrival at the cellar, the bunches were manually selected, immediately destemmed and crushed into stainless steel vats. After 48 hours of cold maceration and skin extraction, the grapes were gently pressed and the natural static decanting process was carried out, which leads to alcoholic fermentation. After the normal period of fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of around 15ºC, the wine underwent a period of aging in deposit, stabilized and finally bottled. With a limpid aspect and pale straw-coloured tones, it is a wine with intense and inviting aromas. The freshness of the nose suggests exotic fruit, where notes of ripe pineapple and passion flower stand out. In the mouth it enters light and discreet, evolving into a complex mixture of fresh fruits. A set full of harmony where tension, structure and mouth volume are in harmony. The well-integrated acidity confirms the pleasant sensation of balance and leads us to a long and persistent finish. A fresh and lively Antão Vaz. Contains sulfites.
Mouchão Red
It is the reference wine of the estate, since the first harvest was bottled in 1949, and reflects the unique temperament of the winery. Mouchão wine is born mainly from the best grapes of Alicante Bouschet, while the rest is found in the selection of other varieties such as Habitué Trincadeira, the famous Vinha dos Carapetos, and Aragonês, which is also sometimes invited. This happy combination results in a wine full of personality, with fragrant aroma, fresh and very elegant. It is a wine whose flavor expresses its slow maturation and which strongly reflects its origin and respect for tradition. After harvesting by hand, the grapes follow in small baskets to the cellar, where, after an experienced walk on stone wineries and fermentation, the Mouchão rests in barrels of Portuguese oak, macacaúba and mahogany for at least three years. It grows in all its intensity, character and robustness, but will still have to mature in bottle for another two years. Mouchão wine has a deep, concentrated color, and has a spicy character. Its unique tannin structure enhances a long bottle aging, which can improve significantly on guard for two decades, or even longer. Contains Sulfites.
