Barbeito Sercial Curtimenta Harvest 2014 is a unique expression of winemaking mastery and innovation, born from the 2014 harvest and vinified through the meticulous tanning technique. This process involved selected grapes from two different origins, Jardim da Serra and Seixal, fermented in two small lagares dedicated to the Sercial grape variety. After fortification, the wine benefited from an additional three months of tanning, enriching its complexity and intensity.
During the seven years of aging, the remaining berries were carefully placed in the barrels, contributing to the unique profile of this wine. In March 2023, 890 units were bottled, each individually numbered, sealing the exclusivity of this vintage.
With a pure aroma and remarkable intensity, it reveals notes of dried fruits, coconut, green tobacco leaf and white pepper. In the mouth, it is smooth and "meaty", with an elaborate structure, citrus flavors and an almost spicy electric acidity. Manual harvest. Fermentation of grapes in a foot-treading mill. Dehydration of skins, subsequently macerated in wine brandy. Post-fermentative maceration of the doughs together with wine brandy. Pressing and later stage in old wood casks. The first Moscatel from the Douro to have this age designation. The wine results from several batches of muscatel, all of which come from our Quinta da Faísca, which have aged in used wooden casks. The youngest of these was 73 years old.

Opaque ruby colored wine with violet hints. In the nose it is very intense, with notes of black fruit, blackberries, black currant jam, ripe wild red fruit and a slight balsamic to transmit freshness. In the mouth, the aromatic sensations are repeated, with the flavors of dried fig, ripe red fruits and a slight blueberry flavor. Powerful and very polished tannins, but thanks to its acidity, it is fresh and very persistent. Due to its structure, complexity and acidity, it will evolve over the next 50 years.
Messias Vintage 2007 Ruby
Fermented wine with partial destemming at a controlled temperature (24-28ºC) when the must reaches the desired sweetness value, fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy (77%), later aging in oak wood, in the warehouses in Vila Nova de Gaia until it is bottled, between the 2nd and 3rd year, after approval. The Vintage Messias 2007 has a dark color and is complex in terms of smell, although the presence of red fruits is clearly noticeable. In the mouth it conveys strength and robustness, being a wine with an excellent taste balance where well-balanced tannins predominate, ending in a long and pleasant finish. It can be drunk now, but it does foresee a notable evolution in the bottle.

Opaque red in color, the Adelaide Vintage 2015 Fence features intense aromas of black fruit perfectly balanced by the soft notes of slightly bitter chocolate. On the palate, this is a full-bodied vintage, of excellent structure and complexity, with ripe and soft tannins, being therefore very fresh and velvety in the mouth. It is aged in Portuguese and Brown oak casks for a period of 24 months. The grapes are trampled on foot in the Quinta's mills to obtain the must. They are then macerated during fermentation to obtain the best possible extraction of the polyphenolic components. Short fermentation cycle of 4 days. Quinta da Romaneira Vintage 2018, is magnificently mature, full of color, intensely fruity, expressive and with a wonderful underlying freshness. It aged for 20 months in the cellars of Quinta, in the demarcated Douro region, before bottling. It should age in bottle for 8 to 15 years to acquire the complexity and bouquet characteristic of a vintage. The grapes were trodden and fermented in the Quinta da Romaneira presses with temperature controlled at 28 C, where an intense and disciplined step is essential for a good final result. This 2017 Vintage Port Wine is a supreme expression of this characteristic. It is a seductive wine, full of charm and wonderfully expressive, with remarkable structure and aging potential. The word ‘Colheita’ means ‘harvest’, for Port this word is used to describe a wine from a single year that has been aged in wood for a minimum of 7 years.

All Vintage 2019 components were trodden in granite presses with 100% stalk. The wines were transferred shortly after the harvest, aging in the Douro, in barrels, during the winter. The appearance is marked by a wonderful dark purple border and a great depth of color. The aroma is fine and moderate, with primary notes of dark fruits and some spices. The true style and potential of this wine come together on the palate, with a wonderful integration of dark fruits and a grainy tannic structure; an extraordinary balance between volume and elegance, resulting in an impressive aftertaste.
