Castello D’Alba Superior 3x Red
Reception with destemming and immediate crushing. Fermentation in stainless steel vats of 18 tons capacity, with tanning at around 26ºC. Intense and prolonged macerations and partial malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Stage for 10 months in new and used French oak barrels. The stage begins to obtain a wine of great aromatic elegance, where the aromas of the Douro are not masked by the excess of barrel notes. Very smooth and well-ripened tannins, fresh and aromatic, very elegant, with an unusually long finish.
Pombal do Vesúvio Magnum Red
This is the second wine from Quinta do Vesuvio, whose name refers to the Pombal Vineyard, characterized by the existence of an old and traditional Douro pombal and where Touriga Nacional grapes are produced, which represent an important component in the final lot of the Pombal Vesúvio. Aging for 6 months in French oak barrels. Selection of grapes in the cut and transport in boxes directly to the cellar. Vinification with crushing and total destemming. Fermentation in an open press with controlled temperature. Touriga Franca 100Hectares, structure and elegance, has a deep violet color. On the nose, it impresses with its intensity and concentration of red fruit aromas in perfect harmony with soft floral notes. In the mouth tasting, it presents an intense start, evolving into a wine with an elegant profile, with excellent volume in the mouth and silky texture tannins, all very well integrated with red fruit notes. It ends in perfect balance, with extraordinary persistence and full of freshness. A wine that perfectly reflects the identity of the grape variety. Contains sulfites.
