Marquês de Borba Vinhas Velhas White

The grapes are cooled in a refrigerator before being vinified. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with temperature control. After 1/3 of the alcoholic fermentation, the wort is transferred to new and used barrels where the fermentation is completed. Staged for 8 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels. Crystalline-looking white wine. In the aroma there are citrus fruits, such as grapefruit and lemon, accompanied by a toast coming from the barrel but not overlying the fruit. Great freshness and minerality in the mouth, showing a slight fat from the stage on the lees. Contains Sulfites.

Fermented with loaf and film in stone mills, without temperature control. The pasta is pressed and this press wine is separated. Malolactic fermentation takes place after the mill leaves cement tanks. Stage in French oak barrels for 9 months later in 3 months in bottle. If stored in good condition has great possibilities to improve for a few more years. Present a violet red color with intense, fruity aroma, an excellent combination with French Oak wood. After all it is a 100% Alvarinho made without addition of sulphites, with complete alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. Based on production concepts that value biodiversity, this Soalheiro is made from grapes of the Alvarinho variety. The bottling, without filtration, causes the wine in the bottle to be subject to deposit, being this deposit essential for the protection of the oxidation, facilitating a stable evolution of this Out-of-the-Box Soil. Alvarinho grapes are harvested manually in the vineyards of Quinta da Soalheiro, where we use production concepts that value biodiversity and the wine-growing ecosystem, promoting environmental sustainability. The color and aroma are intense and despite the absence of added sulfites the aroma and the flavor have minerality and fruit. flavor is complex with soft onset and round due to malolactic complete with striking and intense finish.
