With a deep dark and opaque color, this choice within the plots of each grape variety reflects well the balance and complements between the two varieties, Touriga Nacional and Syrah. The taste presents ripe black fruit with vegetal, floral and spicy notes. Aging in both barrel and bottle provided a fine structure profile with polished but present tannins, providing a tension in the mouth that makes it perfect for complex dishes. Contains sulfites.
Montes Claros Garrafeira Red

Montes Claros with the designation “Garrafeira” was elaborated from a preview of old vineyards installed in shale soils, with strict control of grape production per hectare and monitoring of the evolution of maturation in each caste and specific field. This process involved, in particular, the associated winemakers, who were extremely cared for for the production of extra quality grapes. Upon arrival at the cellar the grapes were smoothly crushed with total disgust, followed by the process of alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, with moderate mechanics, ending in maceration for 10 days, under temperature control at 24ºC. Malolactic fermentation occurred in 1st use of 1st use of French, American and Brown Oak, which followed a 12 -month internship in the same barrels. After slight filtration, the traffic jam and a final stage of 30 months in a bottle occurred. Clear appearance and color grenade with depth. Good aromatic intensity, highlighting the notes of red fruits in jam, coffee, chocolate and spices. Soft flavor, with fruity freshness, excellent structure, slight expert and toasted astringency, with wild but soft and full -bodied tannins. Very prolonged fat end, with balance, elegance and persistence.

Made with grapes from vineyards aged between 4 and 50 years, from the Códega do Larinho, Rabigato and Viosinho varieties, among others. Partially fermented in new French oak barrels, with 3 months of battonage, having aged 7 months in barrel. The other part was fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature.

Organic Wine: Fermentation and aging with agitation of fine lees in 500 Lts of French Oak barrels. Granitic soil of the Douro Superior, very sandy at an average altitude of 575 meters. Manual harvest for small 15 kg perforated boxes. The grapes are pressed without crushing and without destemming under an inert atmosphere in order to preserve all the aromatic potential of the grapes. A great effort is made so that all pre-fermentation operations are carried out within the strictest rigor, being responsible for the intrinsic quality of the future wine while preserving the primary aromas. Mineral and citrus aroma of grapefruit and exotic fruits, with discrete barrel notes well integrated. Very persistent and fresh mouth with citric notes and very lively acidity, in harmony with fat and well structured notes of the barrel aging, allowing to foresee longevity.

Manual harvest, reception with total destemming and crushing immediately. Fermentation between 22-26 ºC for about 7 days with gentle maceration in cement vats, maceration using the classic “delestage” technique, about 3 to 4 per fermentation, malolactic fermentation in used barrels. Aging for 14 months in 300 Lts American oak barrels with extra fine grain. Explosive aroma, very intense, wild fruits and spices with intense notes of licorice in perfect balance with discrete notes from barrel to toast and vanilla. Harvest by Hand. Grapes from a single vineyard of Encruzado grape variety, from the Ribeiro Santo Estate. Total destemming and pressing. Selection of the grape must and cooling at low temperatures for 24h. Fermentation only in stainless steel vats, with temperatures rounding the 15ºC for 20 days. 50% of the wine fermented in new French oak barrels for 4 months. Clear color, with green shades, this wine shows the authenticity of the grape variety Encruzado in a fresh and elegant way. Pear and white flower notes on the nose. With medium body on the palate, and good structure due to the barrel toast, balanced by the crispy acidity and the citric character. Contains Sulfites.
