Palácio dos Távoras Alicante Bouschet Red

Quinta de Arcossó Grande Reserva Red is a prestigious wine, cultivated with care in Arcossó, Vidago, in the Ribeira de Oura sub-region. Coming from a privileged plot of 10.5 hectares, within a 12-hectare vineyard planted in 2003, this Grande Reserva grows on a southern slope, 400 meters above sea level, benefiting from a 20% slope and granite soil, elements that give the grapes exceptional quality. The grapes were trodden by foot in 1000-liter vats and fermented in old chestnut wood barrels, over 100 years old, for 15 days, under careful manual pumping. After malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, the wine was divided, with half returning to the barrels and the other half maturing in new French oak barrels for 12 months, without resorting to mechanical processes, preserving the integrity and essence of the wine. With a color as deep as the mountains from which it comes, Quinta de Arcossó Grande Reserva Red displays an intense and complex aroma, marked by red fruits and black olives, enriched by a striking minerality, a reflection of the region's hydro-mineral wealth. The palate, robust and structured like the granite that shelters the vineyards, reveals a surprising softness, freshness and notes of mint and spices. This wine, unfiltered and unfined, encapsulates the collective essence of its origin, offering a unique and memorable sensorial experience with each glass.

Aged in new 500 liter oak barrels for 16 months. Very intense red in color with violet reflections. Intense aroma, showing its fruity, floral, spicy side and with a slight menthol contributing to its aromatic lightness. In the mouth, it is very elegant, evolving into a wine of excellent volume and solid structure, composed of fresh tannins with a fine texture. A captivating wine that finishes in perfect balance, with pleasant sensations of freshness and very persistent. Contains sulfites.

Palácio dos Távoras Bago a Bago is a field blend made from typical grapes from the Trás-os-Montes sub-region, harvested berry by berry, in a centenary vineyard without a frame, reveals the potential of such a peculiar territory. Fermentation in 500L barrels spontaneously, with manual reassembly of the masses, showing all its potential. The result is an uncomplicated and more elegant wine. Contains sulfites.

Rigorous selection of curls. Total destemming, followed by prefermentative maceration. Fermentation with moderate temperature control and gentle daily manual reassembly. Long post-fermentation maceration. Aged in 500l oak barrels for 19 months. Wine not filtered or stabilized by cold. Can create deposit. Very intense red color. Intense aroma with complexity and aromatic subtlety. Noteworthy are the wild berries, the red fruits with stone and floral aromas. Notes to coffee, chocolate and tobacco give even more elegance to the set. Wine with a balanced acidity that gives elegance and lightness. Fine and soft tannins well enveloped by the fruit make this wine with a persistent and greedy finish. Contains Sulfites.
