Ladeira da Santa Reserva Encruzado White

Ruby deep dark, nose of pure aromas of red and black fruits with notes of violets and smoke. It seems a bit closed though, palate full bodied, dense and fresh, solid structure, red berries, cassis, fresh spices with balsamic notes, persistent end. Contains Sulfites.

The history of the wines of the Casas do Côro begins with the purchase of old vineyards with more than 80 years in Marialva and evolves it by planting 9 hectares of the best white grape varieties. Marialva is a fantastic terroir at 600 meters altitude between Beira Interior and the Douro. With a common origin in the Beira interior, they share a passion for the land where they were born, for their traditions, smells and aromas, and continue to believe and bet heavily on a territory they consider unique. Casas de Côro Red Wine Reserve has a red color with lots of personality and character, fresh but vibrant and still very young and a bit wild. Expressive, almost "violent" with strong aromas of olive, cherry and grove, super sexy tannins, good acidity and very long end of the mouth. Contains Sulfites.

The Soalheiro Granit reveals the more mineral side of the Alvarinho variety. It is a Alvarinho that leaves a specific selection of vineyards planted above 200 meters of altitude, revealing the minerality that relates the soil of granite origin of the terroir of Monção and Melgaço and the Alvarinho variety, improved with the batonage and the stage in the fine lees . The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a higher temperature than usual in white wines, showing an elegant and more mineral aroma with a dry and persistent finish. The Alvarinho grapes used in the Soalheiro Soalheiro come from small-sized vineyards implanted in soil of granite origin above 200 meters altitude and located in the private microclimate of the Monção and Melgaço sub-region, the northernmost region of Portugal. The grapes, exclusively from the Alvarinho variety, are harvested manually in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short time. After pressing, the decanted w decants for 48 hours, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a higher temperature than usual, using pre-selected yeasts for this purpose. The bottling takes place after the batonage and the stage in the fine lees. Citrine yellow color, aroma with the profile restrained and elegant with mineral notes and dry finish. Contains Sulfites.

An intense, elegant wine with volume. Beginning at the end of August, this harvest was the earliest ever harvested in Soalheiro, but it demonstrated an exceptional balance between the fruit and the acidity of the Alvarinhos of the unique terroir of Monção and Melgaço. Alvarinho grapes without late harvest were harvested in small capacity boxes and transported to the winery in a short period of time. The must obtained by pressing the whole grapes was decanted and fermented at low temperature. The fermentation took place in stainless steel until reaching the balance of sweetness and acidity intended and that dictated the final alcohol of this Soalheiro - 9%.
