The grapes from several very old vineyards in the Alto Douro Vinhateiro (Mêda) were pressed in whole bunches, in order to extract the freshest and most vibrant must possible. Keeping the origin of each vineyard, the musts followed the alcoholic fermentation in new 500L French oak barrels. Fermentation process from indigenous yeasts, brings more complexity and character to wines. Long maturation on total lees (12 months). Malolactic partials make up the Burgundian-inspired route. This wine has a citrus color with light wire tones. Red fruit nuances and candied fruit, predominant in notes of spring flowers and citrus flowers. In the mouth it is fruity, crisp freshness, distinct volume of mouth and long persistence. Harvest the grapes in boxes of 20 kg, whole grape for the press, from where the grape is used. The clarification is natural and the alcoholic fermentation occurs at 15ºC. Minimum stage of 2 months in bottle. Contains Sulfites.

This wine expresses the personality of the terroir od Dão wines being elaborated from the Alfrocheiro, Jaen, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional varieties, produced and vinified at Quinta do Soito. It has a delicate aroma with the expression of notes of very ripe red fruits, cassis and blackberry, married with a light touch of black pepper, cocoa and vanilla.
